Just a heads up for people who listen to the youtube video, theres a little melody in the midi that you cant really hear in the youtube render. This is due to the way game music worked on dos computers, with the game running midi through whatever soundcard you had. I guess the emulation in the video doesnt render very well. Alas it was the only video of the theme on youtube.
P.s. Definitely plugging out a bonus remix of this one
I'm just curious if it's ok to monetize remixes of video game music on YouTube. I've done some research and even youtube / google's own policy pretty much says if the original work was made or composed by someone else, then no, you can't. It seems to be a bit of a grey area though. Take smooth mcgroove for example. He puts out great sounding material and they're definitely quality videos, but it's not even a remix. It's a straight cover / remake only he's just using his voice as the main instrument. On all of his videos there are ads.
I'm asking because I've only just monetized my tutorials on YouTube but I'm wondering what would happen if I were to monetize the few remixes I've done as well. In a worse case scenario what would happen? If someone flags one video would they end up sharing revenue, taking all the revenue and / or stopping it from receiving further revenue, or would it end up counting as a strike against the channel? I'm new to this whole monetizing thing but everyone seems to be doing it now.
I mean if OCR has monetized their videos of other artists work, it's no different than me monetizing my own remixes on my own channel right? I'm just scared to monetize without actually knowing
Anyway, thanks for any input guys I appreciate it.
This song is really cool. I love it lots, glad that the artist didn't get the memo about not bringing their A Game. Downloaded &Knuckles today because I missed the boat and didn't even know that it happened. I laughed sooo hard. Kudos to all the talented artists that purposefully brought their subpar game. That is not easy to do. lololol
Alright all! Have another major update for everyone. We're going to be fast tracking the album towards completion. Shooting for a finish date of [November 10, 2017] and hopefully a Winter Release (2017 or early 2018). I've included the deadlines and milestones in this post as well :). We now only have 1 Last Song that needs to be claimed, and it's the closing song for the album. Thanks so much for everyone's hard work on the album!!

Haha, this was really fun stuff! Vocal execution doesn't feel as strong as some of your other stuff, but you still did a pretty good job combining the rock track with a rap flow.
The way you're going through the SA2 soundtrack I'm anticipating the eventual Meteor Herd cover. Hopefully that is in the pipeline.
