  1. Whats up everyone, Been years since I posted on here last. This is a Mario piece that I started working on recently, impromtu cover of the classic SMB Underground theme. I am not sure if I will submit this work when completed but feedback would be appreciated. Thank you and enjoy! Link: https://soundcloud.com/a-emcee-muzik/its-a-mario-time-short-ver
  2. Whats up everyone, It's been awhile since I posted on here. Thanks for all of the nice comments on my last post from the beggining of the year (Green Hill Forever!), I appreciate it. This is my 2nd take on the Flying Battery Zone (Act 1) theme from Sonic & Knuckles. This is also a concept for if the theme were to be used for Shadow & Blaze (as they race in & destroy the imagined Flying Metropolis Zone). Unlike the take I did on this theme years ago (which was pretty much a slow, jazzy smooth, extended cover)...this time I wanted to get the vibe of intense speed and mayhem across. While keeping it "somewhat" jazzy like my first rendition. The video I did for this "short version" that I uploaded to YouTube will visually give you a better idea of the direction besides the audio in the track itself (of course). Please check it out when you have the time: I was planning on submitting a full version of this to OCR...but only if it seems like it can meet the standards to do so. Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks for your time and take care. - A Emcee Muzik.
  3. Whats up everyone, this is my take on the classic Green Hill Zone stage from Sonic the Hedgehog (1991). This is also a concept theme for Sonic & Amy. It has a smooth jazzy J-pop flavor to it (like most of my music), yet I kept it somewhat simple and short (yet effective). I also tried to capture that peaceful & fun feeling this stage and game gave me when I first experienced it 20 years ago as a kid. I dont know what else to say about it...ill let the music & video explain the rest. Enjoy! - A Emcee Muzik.
  4. This is my take on Morrigan Aensland's victory theme from Vampire Savior/Darkstalkers 3. The original pretty much was a 4 sec long jingle looped for 20 sec. I took that 4 sec and turned it into 2:21 min...by adding some composition to it. Tried to go somewhat Bossa Nova with it...without going all the way in that direction. Organ solo starts :54 seconds in. I hope you all enjoy and feel free to leave constructive critisim or what not. - A Emcee Muzik.
  5. Its been a LONG time since I posted anything here, so here I am again. This is an complete (Pocket Fighter inspired) revamp to one of my original un-video game related instrumentals from 2008. I tryed to give the composition a 90's summertime block party feeling...if that makes sense. While at the same time fitting the fun chibi anime style of the game. In short, what I wanted this to be is "feel good music". I decided to post the 1080p video instead of the soundcloud link for the presentation value of the video (although thats not the main point here). I tried to emulate that arcade machine feeling in the intro, with pocket fighter sprite animations mixed with real photos and text. Sorry for the lengthy description, I hope you all enjoy. - A Emcee Muzik.
  6. This is my take on the track "Romantic Love" from Chop Master Onions stage in Parappa the Rappa 2. On the positive side...I mostly just had fun with the chord progressions, I loved jaming out to this tune on the piano back in the day (It helped me get used to 'busy' jazzy baselines), this pretty much is just a transfer of how I played it on piano to mp3 form. On the negative, it may be repetitive in parts, and I didnt do any solos this time around. However, I still like the track for what it is...I have no intention of summitting this piece to OC. This was just for fun. Please let me know what you all think, thanks in advance and I hope you like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2DqOcszoIQ
  7. My rendition of the theme for the Flying Battery Zone stage (Act 1 only) from Sonic & Knuckles. Unlike the "Super Mario Radio." mix I posted earlier, this one (which was the next remix I did) is sample free, which is how I normally like to work. I kept this arrangement faithful to the orginal, with some changes of course, including a solo section. This is the first remix that I personally felt proud of, like a step in the right direction (given the fact that I am new to this lol). I appreciate the constructive feedback on my last post, and would like the same for this one, to help me get better. I've done more remixes since this one, but havent been asking for pointers or such. I plan on looking over, and applying, what people have to say before working on a piece that I'm willing to submit to this site. I will post some of my more recent works soon. Youtube HQ link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ARZcguvOx4&fmt=18 Thanks for listening.
  8. This is one of my older works, a incomplete remix I did featuring melodies from stages 1-1 and 1-2 of SMB. I also used sound/voice effects from SMB, Super Mario 64 and Super Mario All Stars (the talking crowd in the background). This is my first go with sound effects. I started remixing VG music about 3 months ago, looking for constructive critisim. This is the video for it on Youtube, the quality got muffled a bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BD0W6wbJXc
