  1. I think I sent you a PM, but if it didn't go through let me know. I'm interested.
  2. My fast impression is this: it's a bit too close to the source at the parts where the melody exists, while the transitions you've written are pretty nice. I'd work on trying to add a stronger countermelody to the main melody to try to differentiate the song a bit - there seems to be an attempt to do so w/ the strings here and there, but you can flourish it even more I think. Hope this helps.
  3. It probably wouldn't hurt to add a few drum fills here and there to spice things up (or some "synth fills"). I like the choice for the opening synth voice and for the bass - it sounds pretty chilly!
  4. I had the first minute of this song finished 10 months ago and tonight I had a sudden burst of creative and attempted to "finish" a working version of the remix. This is one of the battle tunes from Shining Force for the Sega Genesis with a few classical themes mixed in. I know that there is a complete lack of percussion in the electronic portions of the remix, but that's the main reason I'm posting right now. Not only do I look for suggestions, but I'm also wondering if anyone listening to this would care to collaborate on the project since I'm not the best percussion-line writer (I've played a lot of classical music in the past so I'm often lost when I have to deal with a drum kit). Again, I just worked on getting to the end of a first version of the remix and don't expect it to be considered too exciting just yet, but I'm interested in hearing what others think since I've never posted anything in the forums until tonight. Thanks for your interest! http://www.mediafire.com/file/exyw2ngwttm/Shining Force Remix Beta 1.mp3 EDIT: Here's the best version of the source that I could find -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2775RTCCxU
  5. Hey guys, I've been working on a remix by myself for a while but was looking for some help with it (i.e. a collaborator to help me in the areas which I am not very skilled in, not just comments). What message board is most appropriate for that?
