  1. After listening to the album multiple times and looping this particular arrangement for about an hour straight, I think it's safe to say this is my favorite out of them all. Loving the use of the Chrono Trigger string samples, too.
  2. Pay what you want for the OST! Check out the trailer: Released via Ubiktune: http://ubiktune.org/releases/ubi040-joshua-morse-onslaught-ost Game created by Lost Decade Games: http://lostdecadegames.com Lost Decade Games has also released the game for free on iPad! Download it from your iPad in the app store!
  3. Yes! That game scared the living crap out of me!
  4. Always good to see a fellow Bad Dude put out a project! I've yet to play the game, but I've been listening to the soundtrack for a while now (as is the case with most games out there) and definitely enjoy it! Congrats, Kunal!
  5. Sounds great! Always nice to hear a latin arrangement on OCR. Definitely one of the most impressive first submissions I've heard.
  6. This is in my top 3 fav Mattias tracks. This could very well be at number 1; can't decide! Sounds great!
  7. Completely forgot to mention the fact that the *pimp* vocal FX were recorded by myself. Not sure how audible it is on everyone's setup, but there's some beat-boxing sprinkled on the mix, as well. Mission accomplished!
  8. I started listening before reading the write-up and had to do a double-take at the artist; quite surprised when I saw it wasn't zircon. Don't get me wrong, I still think the mix has its own unique sound, but I can definitely hear its inner zircon. Loving the synth brass at 0:48 and on.
  9. I forgot how much I loved the source until I heard this. Loving the meld of the rice krispies crunch with the laid back vibe; not something you hear very often!
  10. Loving this, WillRock. The atmosphere is a wonderful compliment to the original.
  11. Do I hear Shreddage? This is great work. Loving the synth work and the stutters at 1:37.
  12. First off, this mix is great. I don't see anything wrong with the drum loop; if anything, it brings attention to the melodic content, which I find fabulous. Though, I'm not sure if I agree with all the NOs from the judges, as I think this piece is quite stronger than most other first subs I've heard. In short, nice work!
  13. This is killer! The synthesis really brings out the mood in the melodies.
  14. Though I completely disagree with the statement, I think I can see where you're coming on this one, Brandon. To the untrained ear, hip-hop can seem like the easiest thing in the world to write. However, we should all bear in mind that many more elements come to into play outside the arrangement itself--you'd find similar elements in electronic music in general. In essence, it may not be as easy as you think to write *good* hip-hop.
  15. We need an 'explicit lyrics' logo for stuff like this: Also, the harp in the verse reminds me of Resident Evil: http://bit.ly/cDWdwY Hot stuff, though!
  16. Right back at you. There's no hard feelings nor any hurt feelings on my end at all; there never has been. Let's get back on topic, shall we?
  17. I was being sarcastic. I probably should've used a smiley face!
  18. Thanks for contributing absolutely nothing to the thread. Keep up the good work! Sure I do; I find the fact that you misspelled "it" to be utterly hilarious! I feel what you're saying here, Stevo. But in this case, OCR blogs would not only be an extension of the forums, but would live under OCR's umbrella. In my opinion, if you're on-staff somewhere, you do, in one way or another, hold some representation of that organization; whether you're on-the-clock or not. My point was that you'd have someone representing the site creating a favorites list *on the site itself*. It's really not that different from a favorites thread, in my eyes. Though again, this is all opinion, and everyone else on the forums will probably disagree with me. I feel this is just a difference in opinion. I think it is, you think it isn't; fair enough. Well said; this pretty much ends the discussion. Thanks to all with the constructive feedback!
  19. After re-reading OCR's mission statement re: ReMix popularity, I feel like OCR should disable YouTube mix ratings, if at all possible. I also think that the people representing the site should be backing the site's mission as a whole as well: I'm pretty sure this would be in direct contradiction with OCR's mission, sport. Refer to the following: A favorites list, especially from a judge, could easily promote favoritism and possibly elitism.
