  1. hi, this is my first post here and I have been thinking a lot about posting this, since it isn't exactly a straightforward remix of Metroid2. I have always liked the music to the first 3 Metroid games the most, it was abstract, dark and fun. So I started working on my interpretation of how Metroid 2 might sound if it was a movie or maybe a 3d game in todays world. I have worked on this on and off for about 2 years and although it is nearing completion it's not yet entirely finished. To keep the music more in-line with the entire franchise I have added themes from other Metroid games where appropriate, while also adding some themes of my own. comments of whatever kind, be it even harsh criticism, is very welcome. i do hope tho, that you'll enjoy it https://soundcloud.com/mbfb/sets/metroid-2-return-of-samus
  2. Hi all, just letting you guys in on my latest project, Scramble XII Fauxriginal Soundtrack. It's an OST for a shmup that doesn't actually exist beyond music, hence "FauxST". The project had accidentally gone live a couple of days ago and I've been trying to think of new places to promote it, so here it is! It has 13 tracks from Studio logo jingle to end credits (plus a couple of bonus tracks for buyers). There's even a story told though the "lyrics" of each track. スクランブルXII フォリジナル·サウンドトラック SCRAMBLE XII FAUXRIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Hope you guys enjoy it and if you do dig it, be sure to pick it up. It has been in the works for a year, and we depend on these sales to fund our video series, Bullet Heaven HD.
  3. Hey guys, We teamed up with halc to make the intro theme to a new RadioSEGA show called Manic Monday. Enjoy http://opussciencecollective.bandcamp.com/track/starlight-memories-extended-mix
  4. Hey guys, don't normally post original music on this forum, but thought you might be interested in our last EP. It's 5 tracks that combine 80s synthwave, chiptune and 90s funky house. Have a listen, hope you like it http://opussciencecollective.bandcamp.com/album/i-wish-my-car-was-a-transformer
  5. Mega Man 'Set Me Up the Bomb Man' Someone give me a controller, I want to play some Mega Man. Mute the TV and put this on the stereo. Yes! That’s what I’m talking about. In case you haven’t already noticed, I suppose I should let you in on a little secret: I love this mix. The thing that gets me into the groove with this one is that bass line. It sounds like the authentic NES bass enough to bring back the memories of those old games (not that I ever played Mega Man in particular), while still adding enough sweet electronic spunk to make me want to dance. And by the way, it also hops into some awesome piano inserts a couple times, just to spice things up.
  6. https://soundcloud.com/solomonster-1/desperate-haymaker Another song based on an improv I did with my guitar teacher some years back. Huge music n00b so feedback is really helpful
  7. Last boss kinda theme/loop based on an improv I did with my guitar teacher some years ago. https://soundcloud.com/solomonster-1/last-juggernaut
  8. A chiptune jazz arrangement of one of my favorite town themes from Suikoden 2. https://soundcloud.com/ryanreilly/suikoden-2-arrange-radat
  9. Hey OCR! It's been a while since I last posted here. So thought I'd share one of my VGM remixes and see what everyone thinks: https://soundcloud.com/mykah/its-super-effective-pokemon-red-blue?in=mykah/sets/super-remix-2-turbo-knuckles This is a remix of the trainer battle music from Pokemon Red and Blue that I made using a combination of sampled drums and the excellent Plogue's Chipsounds VST. Feedback is much appreciated! - Mykah
  10. Gradius 'Perfect Selection' Gradius has almost always had awesome music. Every single track is not a winner, but usually the music kicks ass. This mix starts out sounding like it was straight from the game itself. Then it starts sounding a bit better, but still sounds like an 8 or 16-bit game machine. It goes through some various Gradius tunes. If you like Gradius music you'll like this. If you want to hear some good videogame music from the late 80's you'll also want to download this. Melody is king.
  11. My band chiptune rock band Marshall Art was invited to contribute a B-side to a split single by our good friend AutoRemi-PK, and we happily obliged. FREE DOWNLOAD: http://weeklytreats.net/album/18-autoremi-pk-marshall-art SOUNDCLOUD: https://soundcloud.com/marshallart/the-lost-art-weekly-treats-18 "The Lost Art" was originally part of the concept behind the Marshall Art suite on our debut album but was left out in favor of a more cohesive piece. The song is an alternate ending; a "bad future" companion to the cheery anthem which eventually took its place on the album.
  12. Hey Everyone - Realm of Mind and I just finished this Chiptune/Jazz-Fusion collab. If you like Chiptune, Prog Rock, and/or Jazz-Fusion, there's a good chance this'll groove. I'm on electric violin, RoM with composition and production. Let me know what you think! https://trevwignall.bandcamp.com/album/moonshine-island Trev
