  1. Hi all, I made this project a few years back as a life goal of mine to cover the entire soundtrack for Chrono Trigger. I would love some feedback on what I did right and what could be improved as I start to look at my next project idea. The arrangement and instrumentation was done by me, the music is from Chrono Trigger, although I did use some of the unreleased tracks because they sounded too cool not to include. I tried to make the album sound consistent by using the same instruments but interesting by rearranging what instruments played. Some personal favorites of mine include Into the Sewers and Tyranno Lair. I would like to submit some tracks to the website but not sure which ones are the stand out ones. 2. Hi folks! Working on making a version of Chrono Trigger's "Guardia Millennial Fair" that sounds like it's taking place at night, rather than during the day. Hoping to get feedback on: Whether this feels okay to submit — it's short, and uses a layer of samples from Splice to bring in vibes How's the instrumentation? Anything clashing, or any parts need improvement? How's the mix? Anything too loud or too quiet? Does the panning seem okay? Appreciate any and all feedback! 3. Hello! I composed underwater video game music inspired by Chrono Trigger OST and many other titles. What do you think about it? Does it bring some other games in your mind :)?

  5. Hey folks, here's a big ol' piece of music that took far too long to do. I learned a fair bit on how to approach composing/mixing big orchestral pieces like this, especially when there are synths/guitars layered in on top, though I imagine there's plenty to be improved. Let me know what you think, cheers! Chrono Trigger Orchestral Remix - World Revolution / Final Battle / Main Theme
  6. I always loved this catchy tune from this classic game. So here is my remix of the Battle music from Chrono Trigger done in a electro house/blog house style. Download and Stream links here: http://mercuriusfm.com
  7. I received a request to cover the Magus theme from Chrono Trigger. Here it is, with a suprise at the end!
  8. Star Stealing Princess of Zeal Artist - EchoGhost616 Very VERY rough version, no where near complete. Drums are definitely not concrete, just threw a beat in to help myself. Trying to get a bit of feed back. Thanks guys!
  9. This will be my first "Official" Remix I've ever completed. This is the ocean palace theme with a club sound to it. Let me know what you think and give me some feedback please! Soundcloud - EchoGhost616 Ocean Palace - Ocean Palace Remix
  10. I'm new here and I think I've found my home. I'm a Hip-Hop head and love remixing game music from Hip-Hop's view. I've remixed Schala's Theme from Chrono Trigger. I've used old TV dialogue (cleared the sample) in the beginning. I wanted to give it a real hip-hop feel with an Asian twist. I hope you guys enjoy!
  11. Hey, everyone! Late last year I posted some live clips from my VGM/jazz group, The Hard Modes. Since then I've written a bunch of new arrangements for the group that we've been playing locally, and about a month ago we recorded some of our repertoire. I wanted to share the first of the bunch with you--the beloved "Corridors of Time" from Chrono Trigger, written by Yasunori Mitsuda: I never really intended to arrange this tune, especially because it seems like a lot of people cover it (and cover it well!). But, I kept hearing it while I was at MAGFest this year and was infected by the groove so much that I felt like I had to give making something unique a shot. The resulting arrangement is pretty straight forward with the exception of some harmonic variation and the incorporation of 3 additional Chrono Trigger melodies therein. Hope you enjoy, and would love to hear your feedback. Thanks for listening!
  12. Hey peeps! New poster here (though longtime OCR fan). Recently decided to post my music online and in different places for people to enjoy and I hope that some of you on this forum give my music a chance. Any and all feedback is welcome! I am still experimenting with a lot of different sounds, arrangements, and textures, but my overall goal is to just get people to tap their feet and enjoy some quality beats, game-inspired or not. My game-inspired originals though usually come from random thoughts I get while re-playing some of my favorite games. Hopefully, some of you will appreciate. Track 1 - So I always felt the inside of the Black Omen in Chrono Trigger resembled a synth-wave goth club. So I made what I thought would be the club's titular track. =3 Track 2 - For this one, the idea of Ness Track 3 - This last one, started off as a musical idea when I was messing around with my guitar. Then after developing the song a bit more, it kept reminding me of Cave Story. So I dedicated the song to the game's first obtainable weapon, The Polar Star.
  13. just couldn't resist, so I took my remix from 2003 and added filter effects with ableton and a second and third melody-track (using the super-amazing Rayblaster VST) (added an old video of a landscape I built in cryengine sandbox years ago) remix (well, 2 remixes actually) can be heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svPV9-hPFe0
  14. Recently completed my first mixtape where I remixed a number of my favorite tracks from Chrono Trigger. Probably best categorized as Vaportrap/Lofi Hip Hop [ChronoWave] ¦ [クロノ波 ]
  15. Hello everyone, New here! This is my first cover that I put on YouTube about a month ago. I want to clarify I do not plan on submitting this, I just wanted to get some feedback so I can improve my future remixes. I will welcome all the feedback I can get! I will say that I am not happy about how my leads sound in this, and that is an area I am struggling in for other projects as well. In particular, I feel they sound very thin. Does anyone have any tips? I have tried several things, more reverb, less delay, less reverb, EQing.. I am running out of ideas. Anyways like I said any feedback is appreciated, I'll take what I can get. I hope you all enjoy!
  16. Hey everyone! Made a new remix. I know Schala's theme has been done a million times but I feel like this is a different take on it. Definitely 80s inspired... Not sure if it fully qualifies as synthwave/outrun. Mix is pretty much done, and I'd like to submit this, but thought it would be prudent to pay a visit here first and get some feedback I start that process. Please share your thoughts! Original: Remix:
  17. I've done Chrono Trigger arrangements in the past, but the short 14-second theme for "Manoria Cathedral" has always been one of my favorite pieces of music from the game. Since the original theme was so short, I decided to do an improvisation based on that theme and flesh it out. My good friend Nathan offered to transcribe the piece and ended up finishing it in just a few hours. The sheet music is linked in the video description. Hope you guys enjoy!
  18. Hey all! I wanted to share my latest project with you. I've been working on re-imagining the soundtrack to Chrono Cross as if it were a film score - classic symphony orchestra and all. What I'm sharing is the 2nd track on the album (I'm currently writing the 4th) of around 12 or so. I don't mind feedback, but mostly I wanted to share this with other fans of the series and get the album a little exposure before I try to kickstart a release later this year. I hope you enjoy it! I also can post the 1st track and parts of 3 and 4 if anyone is interested! 02 Far From Home - Cross Symphonic P.S. sorry if I posted this in the wrong section...
  19. Hi! Me and some friends from Uni have this neat thing where each of us make VGM remixes every november. I chose a Chrono trigger mix because I'm playing through the game for the first time right now and it's amazing! I've have listened to the soundtrack for the longest time but never got around to playing it until now. I am now looking to see if the song is worthy of being submitted to this site. The song is an attempt att making rock/metal but without guitars and instead having a heavily distorted organ fill in its place. I would appreciate all the feedback. Here is the Remix: Newest updated version here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=12-qkJ2cy7DSHaMHFj3_MBoxhcfR90_eH Here is the Source:

  22. Hi everyone ! Here's my cover of Battle With Magus from Chrono Trigger. It's the first time I used a "djent" tone, so if anyone have advices about making a better tone in this style for guitar and bass, leave a feedback =) I also need some advices for eq/compression in low register. Thanks. Enjoy !
  23. Chrono Trigger - To Far Away Times [Ending & Credits] - SNES - Analog and retro sounds REMIX by Pixelizer Good Listening and give me your opinion Original track :
  24. It's been a long time since I last posted anything on OCR; and when I used to, I was still learning a lot about MT. After some inspiration, I composed a remix of 600 AD from Chrono Trigger. Let me know what you think could use some work. Highs, lows, mids, clipping, etc etc. I think the lows need a little work, but your opinions on where and what else; would be great. http://tindeck.com/listen/bxvhn The name was inspired by a few things: The Jewel = The Pendant. That Begot = gave rise to; brought about. Destiny = What the party achieved.
