Instrumental & Vocal Skills (Other)

  1. Hi all, I finally finished the guitar/bass cover of Tuna Head theme from Thimbleweed Park. It was a hard work and I had bad times transcribing the partitions by ear :-/ There are so much arrangements, and layers of instruments in the OST that it was driving me crazy trying to get the whole thing done... There remain some mistakes, but anyway, hope you'll enjoy the song... To the talented muscians here: I'm really looking forward to hear covers of this great song, please!!!
  2. Yo! I published my first composition on YouTube and i also want to share it with you people here :). It's quite peaceful track.
  3. Hey guys, just submitted something I've been working on for a while. Couldn't get the Rainbow Road theme out of my head so decided it was time to take the guitar to it and do a cover. https://youtu.be/0iFy4PJ35aI
  4. I've always loved the soundtracks from Mega Man X series and it was also one of my favorite games. Got inspired and decided to try some Metal arranges for the tracks in this game. I know it's been done a lot, but rock/metal just fits soo well with the Megaman series. Hoping to get some feedback/thoughts for this track. Would love to hear what y'all think about the arrangement and instrumentation as this is some areas of improvement for me. The mixing part is not done yet and no eq and effects on the drums. Original I'm also working on more tracks from Mega Man X 1 and hope to compile those to make an album. Hope y'all enjoy it >:) \m/
  5. I wanted to produce a synthwave arrangement of the source but couldn't help using "organic" instruments for the leads and drums. I thought it could be interesting to try and find a right balance between synth and organic sounds -- keep those guitars, piano and drums and use only synths for the arrangements (which I'll start exploring way deeper when I find someone with a decent knowledge of synthwave music willing to help me ^^'). Original Source: Remix: I visualized Sonia telling her newborn son the tale of her adventures -- like it's a bedtime story -- when remixing this. Feel free to share feedbacks and whatnot :3
  6. Hello! I hope you're doing well. I've recently started a new video game cover project called "The Geeky Guitarist", which focuses on jazz fusion vgm arrangements and I would love some feedback and opinions. Yesterday I released this cover of the famous Ground Theme: Ground Theme - The Geeky Guitarist My goal for this project in a few months is to release an album, but first im starting off by uploading weekly jazz fusion covers every saturday to establish an audience. I hope you enjoy! Please let me know what you think. Thanks!!
  7. Hi all. I arranged the Heat Man theme from the NES classic Mega Man 2 for 3 classical guitars. Enjoy. By the way, I'm new on OCR and didn't find a topic specifically for instrumental covers. If one exists please let me know and I will re-post. EM
  8. Check it out and leave some feedback! Thank you
  9. ^ Remix - Original: I'm interested in any feedback, particularly on interp since I'm not entirely sure if I should submit or not based on that.
  10. I had the afternoon off this last Saturday and put together this little piece. Thought I'd share. I may work on this a little more since it could use some polish in the mix (I barely EQed this), but I figured I'd put out what I had. I'm particularly proud of the solo around 1:48! Let me know what you think! Enjoy!
  11. Here is an acoustic/classical arrangement from dragon quest 7 "days of sadness" and "with sadness in heart" (composed by Koichi SUGIYAMA) For this arrangement, I wanted sthg minimalist in the building and in the instrumentation. I thank @Katamari (guitar), @Chris ~ Amaterasu (violin, viola & cello) and @Arvangath(bass) who have collaborated with me. Enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/bluelighter0085/dragon-quest-7-deeper-in-the-heartmp3
  12. Hello, You will find one of my compositions. Hope you like it Don't hesitate if you have any comments. Best, Leonis

  14. Hello friends! I recently wrote an arrangement of the Underwater theme from Super Mario Bros. and wrote the sheet music/TAB for my arrangement for educational purposes and wanted to share it here in case anyone was interested. Hope you enjoy!
  15. This is a version of the Chocobo Theme I recorded in my teaching room a few years back (tracked and mixed from my phone) and I was thinking about doing a full-blown Irish Folk/Jazz thing with it with solos and some new melodies. I thought the palette was pretty nice for what it is, though! Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in hearing.
  16. Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums but would love to share some of the work I've done with my group Becoming Elephants. It's got a musical vibe similar to some video game soundtracks like Castlevania/Mega Man/TMNT but also some modern sounds that draw influence from progressive rock, metal, and jazz fusion. It's all instrumental and our first album is a concept album. Hope you enjoy it! It's available in it's entirety for streaming on Soundcloud, YouTube, and Spotify. Thanks!
  17. For several years I've been a piano guy but since I had to part ways with my keyboard over a year ago band can't get my hand on a new one I decided to take up guitar for something to practice music on since I have access to one. Now so far I'm following everything, making chords, strumming and all that makes sense but no matter how I place my fingers they seem to just lightly touch the strings they're not supposed to making it impossible to play chords. I can stretch my fingers way out but then I lose all flexibility in my hands making it even harder to play. I know I must be doing something wrong because my brother can play decently despite his hands being twice as big.
  18. Hey everyone, Here is my latest addition to my audio engineering portfolio. The arrangement is by Andy Gullahorn who is a great singer songwriter. Check out his site at www.andygullahorn.com. I am pretty happy with how this mix came out and was curious as to what people thought. All of the instruments were recorded live.
  19. Hi guys, i want to share my newest Project with you. Its a Remix of the F-Zero X Series for the Nintendo 64! Its my absolutely favorite theme of this game, and i'm very proud on this Remix. I think this Project is finished in my opinion, but i'm very interested, on critique and Reviews from other Users. Hopefully you enjoy it and give me a bit of Feedback guys! My Remix Original Version: Greetings Matzino
  20. Hello! I made a new cover. It's about Lufia 2 soundtrack, a little bit of sad theme. There has been some time since i uploaded anything, but this one got my groove back :). Main instruments are acoustic guitar and piano. I made other sounds like bass with DAW from the scratch. Here is the cover: and here is the original soundtrack:
  21. A piece I threw together and recorded at my house, I'm just looking for feedback on the composition more than the recording standards itself, But pointers on how to record are well taken as I don't really do Mixes. It was recorded in audacity too make it that much more disgusting. But thank you to everyone who listens too this, it's probably the first video game thing I have recorded properly in a while, and yes All parts bar the drums are real instruments, recorded one over the other.
  22. Hey guys ! I've being wanting to make a Child of Light cover for a while now , and finally here it is : Aurora's theme cover !
