Hey everyone, I just released a new album heavily inspired by games of the 16-bit era (Streets of Rage/Sonic). I even had the unbelievable experience of getting to work with Yuzo Koshiro, who helped compose the intro track. It's a bit of a passion project and I had a ton of fun working on this with a number of amazing guest musicians. Hello everyone! I worked on that track a few month back, I like it very much, and I thought maybe you would like it too! Introducing "Ninja Kitten vs the Killer Bots", a track alternating between high speed synth metal shred galore, and anime like / Touhou inspired melodic chorus (seriously, I don't now how else describe the mood). It all started as a sound design project. I was looking to reproduce the "floppy disk" sound from Master Boot Record ( you can here it right at the beginning of this album ), and I built around it. No guitars, including VSTs, were used in the making of this track. In my head cannon, this is the opening cut-scene track of an action packed 2D platformer in a dystopian future where a ninja cat fight against an omnipotent high tech corporation (I know, it's the most original idea in the whole history of video games ^^). Hence the title. The story would go like this: The shreddy part would be the evil corporation robots wrecking havoc, the chorus is our hero appearing to kick some metallic butts, then robot counter-attack on the shred part 2, theme on the piano is the hero, wounded, having like a flash back (of his familly being captured by the said evil corporation, of it's mentor, or anything else cliché enough to fit your bill), then second wind of the hero, fight, fight, and the bots lay broken while the intro riff play back and is tape stopped. I think it's a really fun track with a lot of energy, but what do YOU guys think? I hope you'll like it, that's for sure!

The song is one of his many in the Her series of chiptunes for Paradox, the cracking group. It was featured in this game, Lyle In Cube Sector, at one of the last areas accessible. The game is made by Bogosoft and plays like a metroidvania and has a really solid soundtrack of chiptunes. Can't recommend it enough if you enjoy retro-style games. The premise of the game centers around some cloaked weirdo who steals your cat so you're on a mission to get it back. That's pretty much it. Thus, the title of my track. The song itself is a pretty direct metal / chiptune fusion with a splash of synth and drama later on. If you have any questions about the song just ask and I'll try to answer as best I can. c: -
Hi! I've been a fan of OCRemix for a huge amount of years and I finally decided to start trying to make some music of my own. I made some music in my early teens but life shoved me in other directions and I've just recently found the joy of it again. I've always loved the title music for Grand Prix Circut from 1988 and I remember struggling with making a remix of it when I were younger. I found myself struggling with it again for the exact same reason: It's just a short loop with four variations that gets helluva boring really fast. I wanted to do a chiptune/metal hybrid and this is what I've come up with so far. Would love some feedback on all aspects of it really, I'm really new to this and have a lot to learn about everything. My goal is to submit this to OC-Remix Edit: Latest Version Cheers! /Gabriel -

Here is a track I made just as a test. But we all know that a lot of emotions that we vent are from recent contemplation, anxiety, etcetera. I have been thinking a lot about the ethics of human augmentation lately. If you like Metroid, Half-Life, Deus Ex, 80s music, etc then you will likely like this. What do you think so far? -
A remix from a game that's not out yet... Why not? This song has lot of sentimental value to me cos this teaser song from Deltarune Chapter 2 (if that is what it's called) was released to Twitter by Toby Fox around the time my firstborn son was born. I had the idea for this cover/remix all the way back then, but because of the family situation the music making needed to take a backseat. Took me 10 months but better late than never, right? Musically I am in my comfort zone here - heavy but melodic - but I wanted to have a pretty faithful remix from the beginning and then go to my own direction still trying to sound similar enough to the original's tone. I played an octave down guitar riff around the middle, sounds pretty gnarly! Also this is the first time I actually played the keyboard parts myself, yay me! Enjoy! Original song by Toby Fox -
This is the final copy of a song I made to practice the electric guitar with, both to practice the instrument, as well as to practice mixing. I practiced the guitar for over a year before reaching this point. I have more work on the way, but as it goes, music is a hobby I can only attend to on occasion. Let me know what you think!
