  1. Hey up everybody - so I've been fiddling around with this for the last few weeks and figured I'd throw it up for any feedback/thoughts that people might have. It's a 7-string guitar, heavy, atmospheric, RIFFZ version of the absolutely excellent Mt Gagazet theme from Final Fantasy X which I have affectionately titled 'Riff Mountain' just because. There are a few fudged notes so I'll be re-recording chunks of it, I've not done a great deal of mixing on this and it has no mastering whatsoever because that's an arcane and unknowable art to me, but nevertheless- feedback would be appreciated! I think it's decent, I'm just not sure whether the arrangement is where it needs to be. Cheeeers!
  2. Hi there, first post on the forums, but I was hoping on getting some feedback on this song I made a while back. Unfortunately,I got a little too giddy, and released it without really checking it over a whole bunch. First thing, I can't easily put out new version of the song to listen to because FL Studios does not like rendering out the song without some glitchiness/weird stuff happening to it. I'll have to fix that eventually ): but for now I can only post videos. A few things I know I'll fix is the panning and volume of certain instruments. I was working on speakers because I didn't have headphones at that time, but since then bought a nice pair and was hoping to fix that up. The other thing is the equalization! I really can't get the intruments to sound well/dont know how to EQ them properly, specifically the xylophones/flute. I'm using the EWQL Gold library and FL studios if that helps anyone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w7PUkkS2yI
  3. Original Title: Forest Interlude Description: Forest Interlude is one of my favourite tracks ever. DK land is also one of my fav games on the GB, so I decided to make an arrangement based on DK Land II OST Style. Link to the Track:
  4. This is our first remix, uploaded to Soundcloud and feedback is appreciated. It has been recently submitted but, not yet uploaded to OCRM. Thanks a lot! Digital Season.
  5. I made this last summer and it would be nice to hear some feedback! (like:what you think of the genre choice compared to the original or if it´s interesting enough to listen to etc) It´s very simple (montuno piano and trumpet melody) cause it was intended for a cover (i just signed up here so i hope i´m using this forum as intended haha)
  6. The hot summer inspired me to make a remix of the NES game Star Tropics. It's a remix of the dungeon theme. It's still far away from being finished - but I hope you'll enjoy it. Original game track: >>> ------------------------------------------------------------------- Newest version of my remix: 1.4 >>> >>> https://soundcloud.com/master-mi/star-tropics-the-fire-of-the-southern-cross-master-mi-remix Have fun and enjoy the awesome summer time! ))
  7. Going back to my original roots and trying my hand at house music again. This time i thought should give some love to one of the must overlooked Sonic games of all time, Sonic CD! So who is the real hedgehog here?
  8. Out of my first attempt of making a Maniac Mansion remix I've finally made a little bit more complex one. Check it out here: Original game track: >>> -------------------------------------------- Newest version of my remix >>> 1.1 >>>
  9. Break out the sunscreen and get ready to empty your shoes alot because its about to get sandy up in here. Be sure to keep those candles lit too.... damn ghosts! Any sort of feedback is appreciated!
  10. Soundcloud Link This is a remix that is a little different than normal. It took me a little while to think of what to call this. It's somewhat ethereal and surrealist in feel due to the echo, bending, and fading in and out of parts. This is an arrangement of Protoman's Whistle Concert, or the epilogue from Megaman III. I arranged the track for 16 french horns, taking advantage of a 4 octave range from G1-G5. I finished the arrangement fairly quickly and did the recording in about 4 hours, recording all 16 parts in a single session. I then spent about a week editing it. The editing was slow for 5/7 of those days due to me being out of town and only able to work while on the road when I wasn't driving (I split the driving with my wife). The editing was quite a monster task, using many plugins and effects, and extensive automation. I am satisfied with the result. Everything in this track is created with live recorded french horn and effects plugins. Nothing else.
  11. Once again, I decided to try to experiment with style and arrangement to make a unique take on a classic VGM theme! If I were to give it a title, it would probably be something like "Hunting for Ridley". Whadya think?
  12. Just thought I'd do some work with the Low Pass filter on my MPC, and rock some chopped up funky drums. Got a nice vocal sample from Greg Nice "Got's To Be The Shurshot" to add in more Hip Hop flavor. It's cool becuase it's a Hip Hop beat that's in the 3/4 time signature, which you don't hear too often. Also, I really went to town with some of these VSTs. I tried to use some of the most over the top synths that were still appropriate for the song. Just a little somthin to nod your head to. Hope you enjoy!
  13. Hello, My music track for review. The music is from The Guardian Legend NES game. Below the original tune. Original tune:
  14. Basically a piano rendition of Great Fairy Fountain where I took some of the motifs and structures of Chopin and combined it with the melody of the original song.
