  1. This is my first time posting to these forums and submitting a remix to them. I just recently got what I believe is called a step sequencer on my computer, LMMS in this case. After wrestling with it for a while, I created this remix. It is the two different walk about themes from Dragon Warrior/Quest 2. I have some varying styles in this...I like them, but also I did it so some of those varied styles could be heard, and perhaps one of them might work for the entire track, as opposed to the contrasting genres heard here. I added the celebration theme for when you add your final party member between the two different themes, and also added a footstep sound that you hear in the game for when you enter/leave a town. Not sure if those are needed. I also don't know how well I EQ'd this. I "split the difference" between different speakers and devices for playback, as I was surprised how different the same track can sound from one set of speakers/device to another. Thank you for the constructive feedback ahead of time, and please take into consideration my extreme inexperience:) Edit 3-18-18 Latest version at the bottom of this post. Layered some things differently, changed some parameters on a couple instruments, and added a couple little personal touches:) Edit 3-21-18 Latest version at the bottom of this post once again, fixed a couple of sour notes that made themselves known at the end of the tune. Edit 3-25-18 Changed some EQ. Also altered some of reverb on some instruments, as suggested. I also changed the drum pattern in one section, I had 16th note kicks in the section in question; I decided that was overpowering and changed that to quarter note kicks. Edit 3-28-18 Changed some EQ again...I have two versions posted below. I have the one labeled Latest Edit, and I have one below that labeled Different EQ. If I could get some feedback on the EQ on those, and be told which one sounds better EQ-wise (not taking into consideration overall volume), that would be greatly appreciated:) Edit 4-4-18 I only have one version in this post now, and it's my latest edit. Advice was taken, and changed a couple things based on that, as well as a wee bit more EQ change, and a couple small changes that came to me in the moment. Thanks for your listens and comments!:) Originals Latest version
  2. Hey everybody, got a new arrangement here. This is an arrangement for full Orchestra, entitled "On the Sea, the Land and in the Sky", containing music from a few games in the Legend of Zelda Series. After a brief introduction, where some of the themes are introduced, the music starts off in grand fashion with The Great Sea from Wind Waker. Afterwards, there is a transition to a calmer, pastoral and serene collection of tunes from Hyrule Field from Ocarina of Time, before the music builds up and concludes with a big, powerful rendition of The Sky from Skyward Sword. Also made through Sibelius 7 and NotePerformer. Hopefully, the strings don't sound so artificial!!
  3. Hiya everybody, hope you all had a good New Year! Posting my third upload here - It's a meditative Orchestral Arrangement of the Song of Healing from Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask. The link to the Soundcloud page is below. Tried to make some changes to the sound in this piece, especially in the strings. Brass sounds a bit too artificially bright, but then that's NotePerformer. Will be putting it through a Sample Library when I get one connected to my Kontakt!
  4. Hey all! I wanted to share my latest project with you. I've been working on re-imagining the soundtrack to Chrono Cross as if it were a film score - classic symphony orchestra and all. What I'm sharing is the 2nd track on the album (I'm currently writing the 4th) of around 12 or so. I don't mind feedback, but mostly I wanted to share this with other fans of the series and get the album a little exposure before I try to kickstart a release later this year. I hope you enjoy it! I also can post the 1st track and parts of 3 and 4 if anyone is interested! 02 Far From Home - Cross Symphonic P.S. sorry if I posted this in the wrong section...
  5. Hello, after posting my first remix here not long ago I tried to use your feedback and made a second one. I kept this in a more classical style. What do you think? 6. My current draft of my cover of Hateno Village's theme. I had heard the track an 8th note off from what I believe the intended rhythm is, and I kind of preferred it that way, so I made an arrangement based around that. Let me know what you think it needs! Original:

  8. From what I can tell, the original doesn't just use notes from a normal diatonic scale, but I can find it hard figuring out some songs so I could be wrong. Will extend it later. Remix: https://sites.google.com/site/vspaine/wips/Unholy Thunder M.mp3?attredirects=0&d=1 Originals:
  9. Zup humans! Been working on a remix of the underground theme from yoshi's island for the past 5 days. Its a WIP and I feel like my ears have become numb from listening to it for 5 days straight and I really need to hear what other people think about the mix and the arrangement. 10. Everybody Super Sonic Racing! I am looking for singers who want to help with vocals on this track so i don't have to use a spot holder. The vocals are currently being covered by a simple Saw till i can get my hands on the vocals for this song as I can not do this song justice with my singing voice. The final will not have the Saw in it and obviously an actual ending.
