  1. I was curious how one can take a melody/theme villainous/darker/evil sounding. I love the idea of dark reprises and was curious how to go about this. I write electronic music and remix in a similar style (i'm quite eccentric). I have a few themes I want to do this with and would like pointers. I know things like occasional tritones, minor keys, diminished chords, and accidentals are important but what else>? One of the pieces I want to do a villainous remix of (not having much luck due to the upbeat and repetitive nature of the piece). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HW9WHjictHc
  2. I desperately need more "Resident Evil" remixes... or an official OCR Album -- a man can only dream But for now, I want to see how far I can go with this piece of my own. Inspired by Tony MacAlpine's "Tears of Sahara", I'd like to see if I can come up with a sweet rock ballad version of "Sleeping Beauty", which I fell in love with. Original: Remix: I need to reach some friends of mine in order to help me record the final version. In the meantime, feedback is very welcome
  3. Here is an original piece (a variation of my previously posted General Grunt motif) for my character Col. Von Hindenburger. He's a sadistic burger mogul who may or may not be guilty of war atrocities. His theme was originally intended to be a Bavarian polka, but this twisted german sounding waltz popped into my head. again my samples/soundfonts are horrible. I tried to make the best of it by adding a reverb and some EQ. I also added some kitchen sounds and cuckoo clocks in there to emphasize how off balanced he is. Let me know what you think and I'll post some more demo themes.
  4. Hi, everyone! It's kinda intimidating for me to post a topic here. Especially since a lot of my favorite ReMixers already precede me by sharing their own WIPs with you all before they quickly became really outstanding pieces of music. I recently worked on a remix of 'Ada's Theme' from 'Resident Evil 2' and, as I know it's far from being perfect, I was wondering if I could get some very helpful advices from you guys. Maybe it'll help me make the track … listenable. Original Source: Remix (ver. 2.0): http://www.mediafire.com/download/8d42zq42ypd23ee/Ada's+Theme+%28ver.+2.0%29.mp3 I do not expect it to be good enough to be submitted to OCR, I am way too bad at mixing and mastering to make it sound THAT great. I just wish I could end up with the best arrangements I possibly can for it. Thanks in advance.
