  1. I think I'm doing this right I'm new to OC Remix (a buddy of mine suggested I sign up and share this so there I am!) Anyway this is a mix I did for fun a while ago for Horizon Zero Dawn and submitted to OC Remix as well. (I've got a few others I'm sitting on as I'm just getting into the the whole game remixes thing) Horizon Zero Dawn - Song for Aloy (DJKA mix) Hope you all enjoy it
  2. This is an attempted Trance remix of "Brinstar" (Metroid) for a contest. I tried to give the original an update my way (I have a rather unique style). After the contest I redid it and think it turned out good. Tell me what you guys think. Enjoy Track Here's a couple original pieces of mine
  3. Original Composition By: Sergei Prokofiev Download link in video description. First Remix of the year!
  4. Hey, I'm currently working on a new mix and would like your feedback on what I have so far. My Remix: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1P0uffVk8ynQ1Yk58Sb2BIgIDu2I17FHD Original: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5CnV7mnhbs Thanks for listening
  5. A little remix I did of the intro of a Super Nintendo video game called Top Gear 3000. I loved playing this game and I think everyone that also enjoyed it can agree, the music was pretty awesome. I just had fun with remixing it since music is a hobby of mine. I was hoping to give it a darker feel to try to hype up the listener and put you in the seat of an alien death race. Haha. Well I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think!
  6. What's up people. This is my take on a great theme from a great game. I'm hoping somebody else's ears can help me specifically with the mixing, mastering, and audio quality. Please let me know what you think. Any critique and feedback is greatly appreciated. I'm not submitting this here but I did it to learn the style of my favorite composers. Peace Source Remix
  7. Hello there! Before I prepare to send in my "resubmit", I would like to seek some guidance from the folks here on the forums. I'll include a link to the judge's comments below this paragraph. The focus of the critique was the production side of things, as I had numerous issues with balance (EQ, volume, panning) that needed addressing. I'm happy to hear any ideas you all have about the composition itself and the instrument choices, but my main motivation for coming here is help with the production work - mixing, mastering, etc. Since reading their feedback, I've been hard at work reproducing my track to fix the issues they mentioned and a few of my own. I want to know what you guys think and if you have any other suggestions for improvement. Thanks for listening! 1. Here's a link to the current version of the track: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xb4td7ecvn93r6c/Rainbow Resort ReMix 2_22_2018.wav?dl=0 2. Here's the version of the track that the judges critiqued: EDIT: Link to the original source:
  8. This is my first time posting to these forums and submitting a remix to them. I just recently got what I believe is called a step sequencer on my computer, LMMS in this case. After wrestling with it for a while, I created this remix. It is the two different walk about themes from Dragon Warrior/Quest 2. I have some varying styles in this...I like them, but also I did it so some of those varied styles could be heard, and perhaps one of them might work for the entire track, as opposed to the contrasting genres heard here. I added the celebration theme for when you add your final party member between the two different themes, and also added a footstep sound that you hear in the game for when you enter/leave a town. Not sure if those are needed. I also don't know how well I EQ'd this. I "split the difference" between different speakers and devices for playback, as I was surprised how different the same track can sound from one set of speakers/device to another. Thank you for the constructive feedback ahead of time, and please take into consideration my extreme inexperience:) Edit 3-18-18 Latest version at the bottom of this post. Layered some things differently, changed some parameters on a couple instruments, and added a couple little personal touches:) Edit 3-21-18 Latest version at the bottom of this post once again, fixed a couple of sour notes that made themselves known at the end of the tune. Edit 3-25-18 Changed some EQ. Also altered some of reverb on some instruments, as suggested. I also changed the drum pattern in one section, I had 16th note kicks in the section in question; I decided that was overpowering and changed that to quarter note kicks. Edit 3-28-18 Changed some EQ again...I have two versions posted below. I have the one labeled Latest Edit, and I have one below that labeled Different EQ. If I could get some feedback on the EQ on those, and be told which one sounds better EQ-wise (not taking into consideration overall volume), that would be greatly appreciated:) Edit 4-4-18 I only have one version in this post now, and it's my latest edit. Advice was taken, and changed a couple things based on that, as well as a wee bit more EQ change, and a couple small changes that came to me in the moment. Thanks for your listens and comments!:) Originals Latest version
  9. Actually pretty proud of this. A lot of it is original material because I wanted to make it my own. Let me know what you think. Here's a link to my SoundCloud for better audio quality:
  10. This is the new version of my orchestral remix of Guile's theme. I Started over completely from scratch and have taken the critique I received on the old version into account, but I still feel that it isn't quite "there" yet, somethings missing. I'd love some feedback on this, maybe you guys can point me in the right direction. [EDIT: link below has been updated, the old version is still available on soundcloud of anyone wants to listen and compare.]
  11. So a friend of mine challenged me to remix this theme in the Goa / Psy Trance style. Well, I like a challenge. So, here is my first attempt at Goa Trance. Looking for feedback on the style, sound, eqing, everything. I'm new to this genre (and this site), so let me have it. Thanks! Forgot to add that... UPDATE: Link updated. See post for more info. UPDATE 2: Did a lot of fleshing out and some EQing. UPDATE 3: Added some more goodies and did a final master. I feel it's ready for submission. UPDATE 4: Did a complete redo of the mixing. I had to change some instruments to make things blend well. UPDATE 5: Fixed some stuff (the bassline most noticeably)and did another mastering attempt. I think it's ready to submit. FINAL UPDATE: Alright, so I did a final master and sent it off to be judged. Phew, I hope they enjoy it!
  12. Every few days in December, I uploaded a Christmas-style remix of a classic video game song to my channel. Now that December is over, I've completed the album and uploaded it as one big video. Most of these are just covers so I'm not planning on submitting any of them (unless you think certain ones could be accepted). I just want to post this here for you guys to enjoy. I had a lot of fun making these and I'd love for you to listen to them and let me know what your favorites are and how I could improve for next year. 13. 18 tracks, 30+ artists. Check it out on... http://stroggosrising.com/music/ https://wasdband.bandcamp.com/album/stroggos-rising Hey guys! This FREE album is an international collab released p̶e̶r̶f̶e̶c̶t̶l̶y̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶i̶m̶e̶ two weeks after the Quake II 20th anniversary! It covers (almost) all of the soundtrack to both the original game and the expansions, originally composed by musical mastermind Sonic Mayhem. Check out the team page on the website for a bunch of sexy pics and info about the team. If you buy the album on bandcamp, the money will be going to a charity supporting music education in public schools. Hope you enjoy it!
  14. Yoshi Mushroom A First attempt at an OC style remix. Hard to find game, and even harder to find any reference (midi, wav, gameplay). My friend is going for a world record attempt on twitch, and this song got stuck in my head.
  15. I originally did this as a joke, but I kinda like how the arrangement went. This is mainly for a comedy sketch with a King Boo puppet I PLAN on building. Basically its just King Boo playing this song on the pipe organ, with a humorous ending. My samples are crap, I'm well aware. I'm looking for ARRANGEMENT feedback. What could I do to make this sound more like a classical/spooky organ piece for most of it? then the humorous ending shows up as a way to throw you off. I wanted it to remain somewhat true to the original and not arrange it TOO much. But I don't want a carbon copy either. as for quality I was thinking of collaborating with someone here who has better organ sounds/mixing skills. Let me know what you think ...PLAY BALL!
  16. Hello everyone. I'm Sonistrelle and go by many a name. This here is a remix I put together for a friend and I was quickly told I should try out this website for my songs. If you'd like to make any suggestions or criticisms please do. Keep in mind I just make these songs for fun. Original song: (for comparison) I do hope at the very least you enjoy.
  17. I'm new here. Very new. I couldnt think of a good place to start... So here it is! My first upload onto this site. Definitely not worthy for submission. A version of both Locked Girl ~ The Girl's Secret Room and Natural History of the Childlike Duo. These songs are not really linked together other than being from the same franchise but hey, I did what I did. Looking for feedback on whatever! All I'd say is bear in mind: I am a complete amateur and the mixing/mastering is rather a mess.

  24. WE 2002 BGM music ReMix

Hi everyone Im Arauz07 and im from México. This is my first post, waiting for me to help. I find myself editing a patch for the PES 2014 PSP and I am in the stage of creating or editing music to give it originality, that is why I dare to ask for help and collaboration for that project, which will be released on my channel youtube where, I am currently doing tutorials on the edition of the game. Something that causes me a lot of feeling is the remix theme of the game winning eleven 2002 Korea Japan, since it is the first soccer game that I could enjoy on my playstation. It is a theme that I would like to help create a rework or remix with a more modern air, without forgetting the feeling of it. (I think in a remix to much commercial trance, style ASOT or something interesting). Obviously, in the patch credits will be given the same as promotion to the author if he has more musical projects. This is the original theme and version I heard in the video game. In itself, the theme is to be the official theme of the game (that's why the remix) and that is the music of the intro video, which I'm already editing, greetings and thank you very much. Finally, here's the link from my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4npFlyTwT4dzVIHzB_hKHQ
