  1. [Indie Retro Game] After Death

Hello Everyone, ( sorry for the bad grammar of this topic, i'm not very fluent in English ) I'm working with a friend on an indie game for more than 5 years now (on our freetime). We are about to finish the dev and we have just launched a STEAM Greenlight. The game is entitled "After Death" and it's in the mood of Super Castlevania and Super Metroid. In this game, you will live a journey as an amnesic skull, traveling in a strange world, filled by dangerous creatures. You will explore, kill monsters and bosses, get new power-up and finally find what secret is hidden behind this uncommon world. Here is the trailer : The link to greenlight page : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=778620821 Some screenshots : More information : https://afterdeathgame.wordpress.com https://www.facebook.com/AfterDeathTheGame https://twitter.com/afterdeathgame If you are interested by this game, you can vote for us !! By the way, we don't have original music yet but I will create an other thread soon on this subject Vincent - Freakazoid -
  2. Hey guys. It's been a long time! I haven't submitted new remixes here in what feels like ages, however I've still been working on things. One of which I'd like to announce here. I've been developing a retro arcade game called Hive Bomber. It's a one-man project so it involved a lot more than music writing from me. It will be my 2nd released game (whether it makes it through Steam Greenlight or not) and I'm hoping it will appeal to the people who fondly remember the early 80s arcade games as I do. A brief description: The gameplay is simple. You control the Hive Bomber and assault enemy bee hives. Each hive has 4 randomly placed honey "cores". If you get all four, the hive self destructs. However, even numbered hives contain a randomly hidden queen which must be destroyed as well. Queens possess an impervious energy shield which is powered by the honey cores, so optimal gameplay will involve getting the honey before releasing the queen. Other bees work together to defend the hive from it's attacker. Workers repair the damaged hex cells. Defenders protect the hive and allies with their rechargeable bubble shield. Others fend off the Hive Bomber utilizing various attack behaviors. The Hive Bomber has a rainbow of forms it can take, each one represented as a powerup. You can have up to 2 forms that you can switch from at any one time. Each one has it's own weapon attributes and unique special ability. All forms can teleport to the opposite side of the hive if they have at least 1 teleport energy unit. The Steam Greenlight link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=742007760 Checkout the trailer and screen shots, and if it looks like something you'd like to play, be sure to vote. The game's not 100% complete yet so any feedback/suggestions would be appreciated.
  3. Merry Steam-mas!

MERRY STEAM-MAS!! So, I've got a few extra games in my inventory, gifts from people, stuff I've bought but never installed... and I figure, fuck it. Might as well give them to someone that will actually play them, right? I've already given a few away to some other people on OCR, but I figure it would be easier to do it this way. I've got the following left: Guns of Icarus Online- I bought a four-pack during a Steam Sale... but I've never been able to get rid of that last copy. Everyone I know has it already (and at least a few of them got it from me in the first place). Darksiders II: Death Lives - Super hard monster combat with brutal brutality? Not my cup of tea. I like my monsters like I like my women: small, harmles and rendered in sprite format (plus realize that is just a poorly thought out joke) Rising Storm GOTY Edition - I honestly don't know where this one came from. I'm not into WW2 FPSs. I think there's Nazis in it? Proteus - A 3D adventure(?) game! With colors! And movement! Maybe sound! But it needs a lot more guns, that shoot things like acid rockets or exploding monster trucks. Maybe some incendiary water balloons would shake it up a bit. Any one here that wants any of these games, just say so. Everyone on my Steam Friends List has been given what I had and they wanted, so now it's time for anyone that isn't on my list to take a shot.
