  1. In parallel with making VGM remixes, I continue to gain experience in making vocal covers. This time I present to your attention a cover of the Clawfinger song "Nothing Going On"! I hope you will like it!
  2. So I have completed a track I've been working on for quite a while now, called "Unalienable". It's sort of a philisophical pop song. I posted demos in the past, but now I'm calling it done. ============================================================ Listen here: https://dgrove.bandcamp.com/track/unalienable ============================================================ This is just one song of a larger concept album I'm working on on the subject of Natural Law (and I haven't a clue yet as to how I'm going to sell that!) If you like it, it's available for purchase for $1. Although, I'm *not* currently using a business account with PayPal, so I don't yet know how well my current account will hold up as far as receiving funds. So if you run into issues on your end, send me a message.
  3. Just about done. Still fine-tuning it it bit. I'd love to get your feedback. Please tell me what you like or don't like. I love criticism. Criticize the crap out of it! There's synthesizers, singing, and saxophone. That about sums it up. DAW: Studio One 4.6.1 Audio Interface: StudioLive 24 Series III Hardware Synthesizers: Yamaha MOXF6, Yamaha DX7 II-FD Microphone: SM58
  4. I recently covered "Dance Through the Danger" from Shantae: Half-Genie Hero! I went for a mellow, acoustic treatment of the source. I sang, played the harp, hammered dulcimer, Irish bouzouki, percussion, and enlisted my husband for djembe and video editing. Hope you enjoy it!
  5. All, I've recently made a remake of Ocarina of Time's 'Lon Lon Ranch', trying to recreate it with same style as the Symphonic Version made from Nintendo and the Reorchestrated version from ZREO. Here's the 'no vocals' version if anyone out there wanted to hum/sing along. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1pSrI3_gWl80Au0F_OgCK3MA57wULWY6v If anyone out there is interested in actually recording yourself, please feel free and let me know if you want me to make some changes (quieter parts, different instrumentation, etc). I've already uploaded my version, so this is really just to see if someone out there wants to use my backgrounds and sing their own version. Here's mine with [fake] vocals, for comparison: I've taken out the unique ZREO section (around 1:38 onward) for the no vocals version, but can easily add it back if desired. It's currently un-mastered, but I figured I might as well share here first and see if anyone in interested before mastering it with the fake voice. Thanks, -Juke
  6. I covered "Sis Puella Magica!" from the anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica for An Overclocked Christmas Vol. XI. I recently made some tweaks, and along with a video my husband put together - which shows scenes from the anime - I uploaded the (hopefully) final version to YouTube. I arranged it in a folk style not unlike the original. So, I sang the vocals and played the harp, hammered dulcimer, Irish bouzouki, and recorder. I had fun arranging this song and I think the video is very fitting, so I thought I would share this improved version. Enjoy.
  7. Practically done, just need to re-track some vocals and add some instruments towards the end since it kind of gets boring. I probably won't release the final version (like Facades) until the EP is out.. https://app.box.com/s/u1orz0yyukg3qqes6ekxzvcab4iyexs9 Lyrics: I've set aside myself for you I'm not too sure you understand I was sitting here Thinking over what we could (Live my life for you) Take this pain with us or Separate ourselves from these mistakes Don't talk about it. I've got a score to set with you I'm not too sure you wanna stay I was watching as my Lies were being put into place Chaos raining down We tried too hard to run away from this Don't talk about it I was sitting here Thinking over what we could do Maybe hoping there could be Something between me and you I was watching as my Lies were being put into place Chaos raining down We tried too hard to run away from this I'm not too sure you understand Just how fucked up I really am I was watching as my Lies were being put into place Chaos raining down We tried too hard to run away from this
  8. Been 4 years since I got my rejection letter. After all that time I think I can finally call this song done to the best of my abilities as both a performer and a vocalist... but also as an engineer. I'm resubmitting this for sure... not sure if that'll be tonight or tomorrow. I'm fading faster after spending a little too long on the video editing. First is remix followed by source:
  9. Link:https://app.box.com/s/qy2ypsucjoiw3fwbm3xlbmzy2loi8pm0 Hey guys, I'm working on an EP to be released by May 5 this year. I posted on the facebook group for some online vocal lessons, but I'm probably gonna have to get my hands dirty and just go do some more at a nearby school (expensive! lol). But I figured while I wait for that, maybe people here wouldn't mind giving a review in the meantime. Tell me things you like, hate, etc. I realize the last line I sing is a little off, it was kind of rushed, sorry about that! If you are a seasoned singer I'd love to hear some comments thank you. 10. Hello again, everyone! I'm currently arranging and fixing a couple of things on my old Vectorman mix before recording instruments and stuff and was wondering if anyone was interested in providing vocals (male or female) for it? The lyrics are available on SoundCloud and Youtube, so feel free to check them out. They were written by my good friend SuperSonication. Feedback is also very welcome and anyone else who wants to collaborate and re-work this piece with me is more than welcome -- for providing real instruments or arrangements purposes. Thanks in advance
  11. Here's me stepping into new territory - rock remixes with vocals and lyrics. I'm doing several songs in this style, but I'm not feeling sure about this one. Please let me know what your impression is of this song. It's only the first verse and chorus, lots of it needs retakes, but all the ingredients are there basically. In my opinion, the tempo is probably too fast -- what do you guys think about that?
