Winter vg music for show

Allo chaps (and chapettes)

There's a big christmas event for our college's radio station this weekend, and me, never content to be normal, plan to play a show (from midnight to 8 AM, no less) consisting completely of wintery/icy vg music. So I need a lot. And I mean a LOT. So, if you guys have any suggestions of the best VG wintery songs you know, I'd really like to have them. I'd need something in the realm of 80+.

Also, you don't have to bother mentioning the Mega Man, Mega Man X, Mega Man Zero and Battle Network series, because I'm basically fully informed on their musics. :3

And OC remixes work too :3

Thanks!

First one that came to my mind.

I second this - one of my favorite Christmas songs. Its incredibly clever.

You might also want to check out this games remixes: http://ocremix.org/game/159/christmas-nights-into-dreams-sat/remixes

They aren't traditional Christmas music, but some of them have a similar feel, and hey, the game has Christmas in the title.

Nice! I like themed radio shows. I used to do themes on my video game radio show too for my college station... Of course, only for two hours, not eight.

It's hard, because do you want music that sounds like it's icy/wintery, or just remixes based off of ice levels/winter themes? There are a lot of remixes out there based off of some ice or winter theme, but don't exactly sound "wintery (for example: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01355. It's a really cool mix, but doesn't sound much like a soft, snowy winter).

There was that one album OCremix did for April Fool's Day that was ALL Sonic 3 Icecap remixes (http://icecap.ocremix.org/).

The Earthbound/Mother remix albums usually have a few songs based off of their snow areas. (Rock Candy3, Mother +Love2, Bound Together, Mother 3+, Mother OST Vocal, et cetera).

If you're just looking for mixes based off of ice/winter/snow, type into the search field on OCremix those keywords and you should be able to find a lot of mixes.

Hope this helps, and good luck trying to fill eight hours on this theme!

Thanks man, my show is usually just two hours, but the event is changing up the status quo a bit.

And if the theme feels wintery, that's better, cuz it is a christmas thing and the christmasy-er it is the better :3

Five Christmas remix albums, featuring VG mixes and remixed Christmas songs. There's a sixth one coming up as well.

That's amazing :D Thank you so much :3

^ My favorite ice/snow track ever.

There's always

and its attendant Remix from VotL, too.

There's a

short but decent ones from LoD, too.

Ice Cavern out of FF9 is good, although probably not to what you're wanting.

There's one in FFT's OST that's also good, but I'm drawing a mental blank as to its name atm.
