Since you change the type of drum beat at 1:22 and 3:23, you might as well make a better transition than that. I didn't expect the change from dance to big beat. It gets pretty conservative after 3:23, but that's a good thing. Maybe you can get more conservative near the ending, because the source has been pretty chopped up before 3:23. I'm thinking you should upgrade the lead sound. Make it more than just a saw wave. Give it vibrato, make it legato, use modwheel, etc. Add some more glitching, like at 1:49. Maybe a glitchy section. timaeus222 Posted January 20, 2013 Share Posted January 20, 2013 You might want to check out the bassline at 1:23. It sounds a little muddy there, and possibly a little dissonant. Skolar Posted January 24, 2013 Share Posted January 24, 2013 I'm always ready to be pleased with a Metal Man rendition, and this one surprised me right from the start. Very nice! The only suggestion I think I could make is that the slowdown at the end, while it is the perfect way to end this remix, (and is also pretty unexpected, in keeping with the rest of the track) it seemed a little bit rushed to me. Just having the bass + drums with the slow down sounds empty and boring - why not keep the melody going with it, in order to give the slow down more color? Just a thought. Yeah the ending is a bit rushed atm, my plan was to improve it and now when u gave those comments, Elrinth got an idea for better ending. We'll see what he does with this track. I'll submit this when this is finished, but its about 1year queue in there! We submitted the Flash Man ReMix, something like 1 year ago and its still not added to the site! A-RoN Posted January 28, 2013 Share Posted January 28, 2013 This is very well done! Lots and lots of random glitching and "tape stops" all in the right places! The bass is very phat and deep. I love it! I'd do a little more work on mastering to bring the harmony tracks out just a tad. I thought the slowed down part at the end is ok but I think they could be worked on a bit. Perhaps throw in an extra track that slowly fades out before the cymbal crash and the...what is that half kick at the end? LoL Good stuff so far!
