Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals

26 posts in this topic

I know there's already a deals thread, but I feel like this deserves it's own thread. And also because apparently some people are already lining up for it (lol).

Anyway, post any worthy BF/CM-related deals that might be coming up here. Maybe we can merge it back with the deals thread when the chaos is over.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pages/doorbusters?icid=204781 looks like musiciansfreind is having a bunch of super nice deals on random gear for black friday. they have a bunch of native instruments piano sounds for under 50. the plain old upright sound is 19$, which is mighty fine if theres any n00bs looking for a better piano than the stock piano on the cheap.

Not sure if it's still in stock but Target has the regular 3DS XL (no bundle) available online for $150 + tax + $7 shipping.

Still looking for that perfect TV. Budget of $800 and needs to be at least 50" 120hz without that dumb smart or 3D gimmick. Been looking all over and I just don't want to buy a lesser brand like element or vizio. Needs to be top tier like Sony, Samsung, Phillips.

I'm sorry but does anyone see a good deal out there?

EDIT: In other news, 4K is already down to $3,000

My biggest question is...... Does 3D decrease the quality of normal 2D picture?

If I took a 2D video from a 2D TV and placed it next to a 2D video from a 3D TV, will they look different?

I don't see why it should. My TV's quality looks pretty damn good to me, I haven't had any complaints with it.

If the screens are decent it shouldn't matter if its 3D. You need a good "2D" screen to have a good 3D one, 3D doesn't somehow subtract from the quality

3D is simply a mode it can switch to, but can be completely ignored.

Native instruments has just about all of their software at 50% off. This include juicy favorites such as massive, fm8, even komplete 9 and komplete 9 ultimate. If i wasnt going to magfest i would finally spring for Komplete 9, if even just to have the paid version of kontakt. i think its something stupidly cheap, like 250$

I'm looking for a good 49+key midi controller (preferably 88 key) if anyone spots a sweet deal...

If anyone else is looking for something specific feel free to post and I'll shout if I see it in my journeys.
