Do you think there'd be any way to lock the layers added onto the map? So they can't be deleted or moved?

I was trying to move mine around earlier and ended up accidentally moving someone else's. It's all straightened out now but gmaps seems so finnicky when you're trying to scroll the map it seems like that sort of thing could happen a lot more when it gets filled out.

It's a suggestion. Not too big of a deal if you're careful at least.

people should be able to edit only their own marker in case they move. Not sure if thats possible.

As best I can tell, this isn't possible. Google Maps doesn't allow the ability to lock down layers. You can lock folders that layers are stored in, but then that means no-one can edit any of the markers in that layer after that point, even if it's one they originally placed.

Added. I know of a couple other relatively active people on the forums who are within 30-45 minutes of me, plus a one-time remixer is a friend of a friend. Toronto used to have reasonably large meetups though, 8 years ago or so, but it feels pretty inactive now. Still not as bad as almost anywhere overseas though; sorry to you guys!
