Sample Mockup - "Theme from Jurassic Park"

In honor (and excitement) of the next installment of the Jurassic Park series coming to theaters, I decided to do a mockup of John Williams' "Theme from Jurassic Park". Like my Hook mockup from last year, I did this by ear without score sheets. I think it's better than last year, though of course like that one there is a lot of room for improvement. It's far from perfect, comes nowhere close to the original, and could benefit if I had more time to spend on it, but it was a lot of fun nonetheless and I got some good practice with my samples. icon_smile.gif Let me know what you think!

What happened at 1:18? For a bit it felt like a note got pushed down in the middle, and then at 1:20 it was fine again. Otherwise, sounds really good! I think it comes pretty close to the original.

I think maybe just a low velocity on a passing note? I'm not sure if I'm picking up on the same thing.

This is gorgeous. Masterfully executed, great control over dynamics, has damn near all the expressiveness of the real thing; you know how to use what you've got! Makes me nostalgic for home- growing up a few minutes away from Tanglewood in Lenox, MA. John Williams would bring the Boston Pops up every summer and play this and countless other classics while we sat out on the lawn and watched on the big screen. Thanks for sharing.

What I heard was a note that had a sudden volume dip for a short moment. If it was a low velocity note, I think it would just be quieter. Maybe a volume or CC11 automation got a stray low point, or it wasn't as smooth as it could be. Really though, it's a very minor point, and I only pointed it out to help Neifion with attention to detail. It doesn't detract (IMO) from what is still great.

It is indeed a dynamically lower note; it was intended to be performed lower than the surrounding notes, but perhaps it came off a bit lower than desired. Good catch there. Thank you guys for listening and I'm glad it could tap into a bit of that nostalgia for you, Hayeser.;)
