Seriously, please help me out -- playing music & chiptunes on Windows 10

3 posts in this topic

Greetings everyone!

I recently retired my old Windows 7 PC and wanted to know, what are people using to play audio files on Windows 10 that isn't Winamp (doesn't work/work well on my computer) or Groove Music (default Windows software)? Also, how does one play Chipamp/chiptune files (nsf, etc) without using Winamp? Thank you in advance for your help!

@A.M. Wolf Try Audio Overload: http://www.bannister.org/software/ao.htm

Or foobar2000, but you'll need plugins for that just like with Winamp: http://www.foobar2000.org/

However, Winamp seems to work just fine on Win 10 for me, on multiple machines, so you might be able to resolve that issue if you asked for help.
