Staff wanted for Card Games Album

7 posts in this topic

There are a lot of video games that are essentially digital versions of card games: Hearthstone, the Pokémon TCG game for gameboy, Duelyst, the various Yu Gi Oh games, etc. These games have some pretty solid soundtracks. I'd like to see a small single-disc album focusing on music from games like these.

Anyone up for the task of directing? I'll take on an advisory/exec producer role and help out, but this'll be your show with regards to track selection and stylistic choices.

A lot of Hearthstone music is "remixed" warcraft music tho, I think only the main theme is original.

I've actually got multiple wips for an entire Pokemon TCG album I've been working on over the years.

I made a cover song of the Hearthstone theme a long time ago. We used it for a podcast we did about the game a while ago. I'll link it over here in case its relevant for the project.

I fully endorse this product and/or service.

I won't direct it tho, because giving it to me is the same as killing the concept with your bare hands.

At the risk of tooting my own horn, I compose music for a card game called Sentinels of the Multiverse, and I'm also a member here at OC Remix. I'm working on on another OCR album right now, but I think it'd be really cool to hear some Sentinels music remixed by OCR members, if anyone is interested!

You can listen to all the soundtracks on the Handelabra Bandcamp page (among other places):

If you need anything to help you out, let me know! :D

As someone who plays the Pokemon TCG quite seriously, I'd be totally down to do a mix of that. <3
