  1. Wow I made this seven years ago. I can't believe it. The things I would have done different had I only the experience I do now. I basically did this tune as a high school music theory project at the time. Honestly, this is the first time I've logged onto OCR since this song was accepted into the ranks. Reading through the seven years' worth of critique is inspiring. Painfully inspiring. DigiPen doesn't give me a lot of time to myself, but I'll see if I can give OCR a PROPER version of this mix in the very near future. Thank you for all the support! I'll see you soon.
  2. Well, would you guys LIKE a resubmit? I have to tell you, I was shocked to see one of my earliest and crappiest mixes added to OCR, which came from a time when I was still JUST getting into remixing. While my methods and mastering have improved only slightly, these days I have a much better collection of sounds. If you all like, I can have a new version in the coming week.
  3. I saw this song shape up from the beginning, and even then I could tell this guy had more talent than I could ever shake a stick at. SysteManic is not only a respected mixer in my sight, he is also a friend. He has helped me begin to refine my own music, and I have taken his work as target examples for what good I should try to accomplish. This just happens to be his best work to date, and I frown down at you if you haven't heard this already. SysteManic, Continue this awesome line of interest. You will be great. Well, you already are.
  4. I just.. can't.. stop listening to this one!! Aye yai yai!! I love the variety of instruments, all well arranged as to where none of them are out of place and alows the music to take over. He didn't even have to take very much out of the original track, either, as brilliant solos do most of the dirty work when the main theme tries to bore us. Hook line and sinker, I'm drawn into this amazing peice of work. DJP, you have to stop being so hard on yourself. You know you're great. You don't have to break your arm patting yourself on the back, but at least get someone else to review your work. You're depressing, that is until we download and evaluate for ourselves. We love your work! It reminds me of the girls at my school. They have to be SOOOO perfect, or they cry all day and become anorexic (which is their ultimate undoing) when in fact if they want attention from people, all they have to do is show up at school with their natural healthy frame. :) 10/10/10
