  1. I have been looking for the individual component option, as I have been able to find Mega Drive sound effects which have come from sound test options. I have been able to slow the sounds down using Audacity and change tempo but it is hard to breakdown individual tones! Thanks for the info Anorax! I will certainly look into that for SNES!
  2. Hello everyone! I am interested in recreating retro sound effects from the SEGA Mega Drive and SNES. I am aware of the .vgm file format, which allows you to play video game music and to able/disable different sound channels to hear each one individually. I was wondering if there was a way to hear sound effects from games in a similar way, for example the spring sound in Sonic The Hedgehog and the Donkey Kong Country barrel sound.
  3. Which library would you guys recommend I use the 50% discount on? I'm not too bothered about the dance, trance and electronic sounds so am thinking of either the Cinematic or Atmospheric libraries.
  4. Hi all! I'm struggling to get a good rock/metal guitar sound using the FL Studio 8 Slayer and a few free soundfonts I have found. Are there any good free rock and/or metal guitar sounds around?
  5. I really like the drumming and guitar, sounds like good ol' rock to me!
  6. Thanks for the interesting tutorial Malcos, I look forward to more! I learnt what a octave is and where the bass usually starts, which is great for me as a beginner using FL Studio.
  7. My apologise Zephyr, thinking about it I'm sure sound fonts could be used in more than one application like FL! Thank you for the tip. I shall certainly give do that if I have anymore questions! Nase, using the actual chip sound could be interesting, if I could use the .dll! Does it have the same limitations as the actual chip for authenticity?
  8. Hello everyone, I found a Mega Drive Sound Font on YouTube and have been using it on FL Studio 8 recently. I am now trying to find a Master System Sound Font. I have searched YouTube and Google but I have had no luck. I imagine a Master System Sound Font must exsist somewhere! Does anyone know where it could be found?
