  1. Wow, I was just thinking the same thing. Fun fun mix!
  2. I think Fieari did a good job to sum this one up. The Super Metroid arrangments are still my favorite, but this is certainly a very enchanting re-working of our most beloved of video game songs. This guy is pretty amazing; keep it up, wingless. Props to destiny also. The vocals are a very nice touch. One can imagine Princess Zelda atop her castle singing to the hills.
  3. Brambles in the Breeze was certainly my favorite Protricity until this came along, but I'm not sure how much of that is due to the fact that I'm such a huge fan of bramble blast. I think it's already a great song, and he did some great things to it, but it's not as exciting as Neighburgers. Again though, I've never heard the original, so I can't compare, but I will go download the original track and check it out. I'm not sure what you mean by cheesy in this context. I didnt' pick up on that at all. I actually thought the song had a very honest and sincere sense of humor. And it was heavily produced, but I don't think that it hurts the song, and is in fact one of my favorite things about it. I rarely hear songs with this amount of "stuff" going into it and having it all work together to produce a pretty amazing whole. just listening to this song some more, and wow. it's just so good. okay, off to grab the original...
  4. this is good. this is really good. I'm ashamed to say that I never played this game, so I can't compare it to the original song, but it's obvious that this mix has been taken places the original couldn't possibly have gone. It's stuff like this that gets me excited about ocremix all over again. I agree with you, potricity. This is your best. It's also one of the best mixes on ocremix. Keep up the good work.
  5. I think The Wingless is the only other person who hears video game music quite the same way I do. It's his blend of what makes video game music great, with beautiful instrumentation (some of the greatest piano I've heard). His remixes always keep me coming back here, hoping he has new stuff posted. He caught my attention when I first heard "Teardrinker" and it blew me away (it has since become my favorite video game song, remixed or otherwise), and now he is back with another excellent song. I am kind of a sucker for wordplay, so of course I loved the title. While we all of course know the title is literal, that doesn't seem so definite when you listen and the romantic nature of the song begins to shine through. It becomes a double entendre, both funny and beautiful. I really can't say anything about the song itself. The Wingless' work gets to a point where all you can say about it is "right on." He nailed it again. Right on, man. Keep 'em coming.
