Final Fantasy 7 'Final Ecstasy'

I'll say that this is, most certainly, a must download.

The beginning is the best, with softly plucked electric guitar. Then some distorted guitar comes in for the main melody. Did I say the beginning was the best? Nah. The entire song is equally good amongst itself. That is to say that the thing is fantastic and shows some nice skill from Ailsean. However whoever is on the drums is the BEST part of this tune, as they just kick everything all to hell. Just kidding, you'll barely notice the drums, but they serve their purpose.

Finding this song is like findnig a million dollars lying on the ground. The beautifull intro of this mix leads to the psychedelic and completely beautifull played guitar, i dont think that anyone could ever master a song as well as this. Its god the right ammount of bass to keep the song alive, the guitar is pitched just as high as it should be, and it makes (for the first time in history) Nobuo Uematsu look like he could do better !

Ailsean is throughly one of the best artists around, and this is one of the many reasons why.

Okay, this is quite possibly the best Remix I've ever heard. It's almost like this is the original, and everything else is just mediocre. If you don't have this yet, get it.

In my opinion, this is the one remix I could live with.

Words can't describe how awsome this mix is. This is as beautiful as any piece of classical music, or even more so, and it can show the true potential of video game music to any non-believers out there.

Soothing! Beautiful and dreamy, this is the kind of music I want to listen to when I'm too wired to fall asleep. This mix feels like a warm embrace - I love the atmosphere.

And, Ailsean: Kudos on your guitarplay!

8O Talk about guitar. Jeebus! Steve Vai, Satch- eat the electronics of your guitars out. Make way for Ailsean. Jeez. Arpeggios are hard enough as it is, but then to palm mute each note perfectly??? nutty. Perfect bends, perfect note, perfect time (nearly- he's not a freakin robot).

I love you. Marry me.

That was a joke.

Great song. Pick up the remastered version if you can. It used to be up at mp3.com/ailsean and at vgmix.com, but it's hard to find now.

I used to really like this piece... until I heard the "remastered" version, which is much, much better. :) It's on the Project Majestic Mix CD (http://www.majesticmix.com/). Yeah, that means you gotta buy it, but it's worth it, trust me.

Dude, what have you been smoking? Ailsean is God of the Guitar. You need to dunk your head in grungy motor oil and recognize Ailsean for the talent he has.

Well i didn't like it, just being honest. For me to say i like this one, i have to be morally insane.

Dude, I don't think morals have anything to do with whether or not the song is good.

Which, BTW, it is! :)

This particular song isn't very good though...

Now that is the stupidest thing I have heard in a VERY LONG time.

Very nice on the ears, I like how quiet this song is. The mood is great, I just close my eyes and Ailsean takes me to Final Fantasy 7. The guitar has a liquid lullaby tone to it, which is a little more than the song needs, but it's good just the same. My only complaint is that it's doesn't have very much to it, playing it repeatedly can get boring. Likely in my top 5 FF7 remixes (yes, I have listened to more than 5... I've listened to about 30). I wonder what kind of EQ / distortion setup Ailsean has, also kinda wish I had enough cash to buy pedals for my guitar, but ah well.

Great piece !

What could've been better was to extend the ending part at 2:57 just a bit more

Otherwise hell with it AWESOME piece!

There are no words to describe how awesome
this remix is. I listen to it and I can't
stop until it's done. A must for anybody
who enjoys the music of OverClocked Remix,
one of many!

I must applaud Ailsean for his masterful electric guitar, He puts it in nearly every song, but every time he makes it different, and never stale. I love the Final Fantasy series, and I'm glad that he can do justice to the beloved theme.

Yeah! This is awesome. Kudos to you Ailsean! Very trippy, very surreal, very "I was high when I played Final Fantasy". I'm impressed...

Is this how the prelude would sound if the player was high?
Anyway, a soothing guitarremix with nice drums that proves that a guitarremix doesnīt need to be loud to be great. And for those who hasnīt listened to "terra in black": Ailsean sure knows how to rock.
Thank you Ailsean, keep up the good work.

A very nice remix, but I agree that it would have been nicer if it lasted a bit longer.

Although I'm no softy and can't really get into this, I can hear the technical skill. It's a bit empty as a mix, but relaxing as such. Man, I hate relaxing. But, hey, if you can make me relax then somethings done correctly. Kinda makes me feel like I'm chillin' on the beach with Kidd and Serge...

Why FF7?

So ... mellow .... There is one thing that can describe this, and I beg the internet to forgive me. This track is <3.

This mix effortlessly gives the edge, character, and life to the Prelude. With character comes the rich collection of thoughts and mood presented in this mix. Kinda paints a picture of the badass Cloud, haha, well, that's how I see it. Keep it up!

I'm quite surprised, but ever so pleased that this song survived the lockdown. Such awesome production value, kickass playing, and its nice and leaves you in a calmed state. Well it does to me anyways

Uh, why would it have even been at risk to be removed?

You guys cracked down on a lot of stuff that followed the source pretty closely. Well I guess a lot of it was MIDI rips which this is NOT so perhaps my fears were unfounded?

Edit: Not trying to start a debate on the lockdown or anything, just an expression about my joy for this song being on the site ^_^

1:38 - 2:08 -- maybe my favorite 30 seconds of music on this site. Amazing. Just amazing.

I've had this one for a while, and I still love it.

One of OCR's classic remixes :-D

A pretty standard prelude arrangement (i'd go so far as to say it's a cover), but damn is it nice. Great playing, excellent tones, and a excellent feel. Not much else to say, but nice work. This is super good stuff.

Alright, I'll say this does have skill to it. Not a whole hell of a lot of change-up, but the playing is well done and it's fun to listen to. Good performance and I just feel like it might have a hair of time rust on it. Another example of nice little ReMixes you miss if you skip the first few years of OCR.
