Those were the days, huh? (Even though I didn't even go here at that point. I began to come to OCRemix in early 2005) Discuss.

I found out about OCR in its blue days. Dogpile showed me OCR when I typed in video game music. Trolled the site for years, finally joined the forums in 2005.

I also trolled this site for years. But that was after I registered.

I first visited the site when it had the orange layout. I didn't think it was anything special at the time. :P
Those were the days, huh?
Why, yes. Yes they were.

I found it briefly after ocr, much like coors bottles and pregnancy testing thingies, turned blue.
I always actually liked it more that way, but that's probably nostalgia talking more than honest judgment.

Ahhh, blue. :-) I have fond memories of the blue.

I lurked for the most part of 2003 and joined the following year. And for some reason, that's the first time I've ever seen the site when it was orange haha. Sure has changed over these years.

I had accidentally found this site sometime towards the end of 2006 and los or forgot the site.... then rediscovered it After i saw Video Games Live in January this year (I think) and purchased the Earthworm Jim Anthology where Over Clocked Remix was credited in the booklet... lurked for a bit and then joined the fourms

Lurked for a very long time when i stumbled apon it. Finally had the guts to register a few years ago.
I joined in the phpBB days, before the mass exile of the UnModders. I like the design the way it is, but it's too quiet around here now.

The old days. The good days. The blue days.
I always thought the blue layout felt a lot more...warm? Welcoming?
The white seems very 'modern' and all, but eh. Blue FTW.

Yep, I still miss the blue. Much more roomy and less "arctic".

Thanks to blinding orange ocr, I became the shortsighted person I am now.

I found it towards the end of '03, when it was still gloriously blue. I remember an initial fear that I had to download all the cool songs (on 56k, mind you) before they disappeared from the front page, lest they escape into the daunting blue oblivion.

I found OCR on the last few weeks of the blue layout. Maybe that's why I like this white one better.

There was also the enourmous banner at the top, crowded with our icons. I think it, as part of the layout, was very appropriate for the site. The current banner focuses on the logo, while the VG character is a minuscle part of the background. In late 2003, when I first came here, OCR's existence was acknowledged purely through it's remixes, whereas now the community has gained more focus.
On an-almost-but-not-quite irrelevant note, that archived page features the remixes that I first saw here. Neat.
Wonder how long before that sidebar issue is revisited...

Been here since 2001 or something, blue days for a long time anyway. Was forced to join when they made Unmod members only (wasn't that because of the immense amount of douchebagas that came in after an article innn... Egm? which magazine was that?)
What is miss most is the old school internet drama. Brought by people like Prot and Moggie (something to that extend) Is that guy still around under a different name?
Miss the asians threat :(
What I do like is people here becoming more like real life people, instead of weird flameready psychos that I treated like cartoon figures to laugh about. Serious, most of the old school gang were nothing more to me then 2D characters in my little amusement/being bored show :D
Actually, normal people were fun for 2 days or something.

also, sidebar?
(I remember the blue. But the orange is way before my time.)
I remember the orange, I've been here quite awhile, mostly lurking. I liked the blue, but the grey works for me. It's streamlined and accessible.

Oh wow, old blue. I remember that skin. Curious though if there may be anymore surprises in the years to come.

It's doubtful that we'll significantly alter the overall design at this point. Any modifications to the design will be less "exciting", as they'll be made specifically to facilitate content additions and features, not to redesign the aesthetic just for the sake of it.
I promised Richter that one day I would blog a bit on developing the current design; it really did keep me up at nights, took a good deal of time, and was the result of several less-than-ideal first attempts...

Yeah, the blue was always much better and more welcoming.
I wonder if my original really old wayback machine post is anywhere to be seen using the wayback machine.

I think I discovered OCR either late 2002 or early 2003 after finding a song on Kazaa back in the day with OCREMIX in the title. I went on a trip to New Orleans March of 2003 and had burned probably a dozen remix CDs organized by game for the trip. I joined about a month after that. I probably lurked for a good year or two before making any significant posts. I think it was Laos comedy contest (or whatever it was called) that I started posting more.

I remember this!
I remember wanting to share this funny story with people, but then realizing that none of my other friends knew who djp was in the first place. Oh, my poor sad high school years.
