FF7 on Windows XP

I've been trying to run FF7 and well, it doesnt do anything on windows XP, I've tried the patch but it gave no results, any suggestions?

use a psx emulator and iso copy..?

Runs wonderfully for me when I lost my old psone mem card and can no longer save on my ps2...

For regulars though...

Assuming you're trying to play the PC version, check the compatability and try setting it to windows 95/98/2000 if XP is really giving u trouble...

I second the emulation suggestion. ePSXe and an ISO (or original game CD) works great.

yeah it requires some patch on xp not sure why the one you used isnt working though
ive played the psx and pc versions and the psx version is superior, so id say just use am emu and an iso

I happen to own a PC version and not a PSX version, therefore that emu point is moot.

Well, I just realised playing FF7 was getting too complicated so I'll forget it for now.

Seriously does setting the compatability of the ff7 app to Win95 - Win2000 not work at all on XP or vista..?
