Hey guys. I finally registered for the website after downloading tons and tons of the music on the site. I've been a fan of the site's work for quite some time, and I am thinking of maybe starting my own mix. I'm looking for your tips on what program to use and any pointers on making a good mix. I'm thinking of doing an electronic remix of something, so I'm looking for your guys' expert advice.

Well,
You might want to start here (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11586) for your gear questions and here (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3314) for remixing tutorials.
I'd recommend trying out demos of various DAW's (like FL Studio, Reason, etc.) before buying anything so you can get a feel for how the workflow of the programs work and see what you like the best. It's by no means a short process to learn and takes a lot of practice, experimentation, and dedication.
