Well, not exactly back. It's not VGMix3. Right now it's just a prefab music oriented CMS and some forums. It doesn't have any of the talked-about features we'll eventually see when VGMix3 finally does go up. It's another stop-gap. Not that that's bad, I'm just saying.

*shrug* I'd hardly call VGMix3's planned feature set a bunch of bells and whistles. A lot of it promises to be really useful, particularly the project management tools for organizing album remix projects and stuff.

don't misunderstand me, i just believe the real purpose of vgmix is to share music. the "bells and whistles" are very useful and will obviously round out the site's capabilities but the purpose has been restored at least.

it's a whole new database so none of the old user accounts are valid. we all have to create new ones. this is especially necessary given the long hiatus... some people no longer go by the handles they went by a couple of years ago. this is also the reason the old music isn't up there just yet.

Funny you should mention the graphic design thing....

I'd actually gotten ahold of Virt in early '07 to see if VGMix3 would need any kind of graphic designing help, since it's more or less my major in school and I have a little bit of experience doing forum skins and such. He got back to me saying he'd love some help and that he'd contact me when they were in that phase of the plan.

Never heard back from him after that, save for me pestering him once and him saying he'd get back to me.
