Progressive Metal: Symphony X, Dream Theater, Karma, Kamelot, Liquid Tension Experiment

Power/Epic Metal: Sonata Arctica, Blind Guardian, Stratovarius, Rhapsody

OC Remix artists: SnappleMan (I haven't heard enough yet. Anyone else know any metal remixers?)

Video Game musicians: Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu

Unfortunately, favorite threads like these aren't really allowed here, mainly because they just end up being huge flamewars with people fighting over how their opinion is the "right" one.
