I'm auditioning for an upcoming play and I'm looking for some sort of dramatic monologue that's about 1 minute long. Any ideas? Stuff from movies, books, video games, are all good.

Roy Batty's "Tears in the Rain" from Blade Runner.

Woody Allen's opening monologue for "Annie Hall" or Commodus' monologue in "Gladiator" about "busy little bees".
Or you could do Anakin Skywalker's monologue in "Attack of the Clones" about killing sand people. If you bring that one to life you might impress everybody.

Richard the Third by William Shakespeare.
Richard has some fantastic monologues and such in that, especially when he's trying to "rally" his forces, and his asides.

Do a dramatic reading of a Penthouse letter.
Cause that'd be funny.

The Smeagol/ Gollum speach on things that are precious. That is sure to be a hit.
Or the last few lines from Transformers the movie.

There's a great speech near the end of Danny Deckchair that's pretty cool. It's about how all the so-called "Little People" have been the most important people he's ever known. It's pretty good.

Use Howard Roark's Speech (http://www.nasonart.com/personal/lifelessons/fountainhead.html) from The Fountainhead if you want to hit them with something intellectual. Though, you'd probably only be able to use a piece of it.

Something from Hotel Dusk, perhaps? There are a bunch of things that would be great as monologues. Although some of them are pretty long.

How distinguished of a theater are we talking here? If it's anything more than community/high school/hobbyist theater, you don't want to be doing any video game monologues.
If you're just trying to join a small, casual production for fun, go nuts. Most actors can't afford to have fun with their auditions like that. :)

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade; Davian Thule's speech in the defense of North Vandea. Good stuff.
