OMG That's GREAT HAHAHAHAHA! Beautiful! That would definitely go well at a wedding. If I ever get married, I want some kind of vgm played. I was thinking of Forever Rachael, but this would work too :)

Megaman seems to do well on piano. Both this and Cutman Sonata were excellent.

While I can see why a perfectionist would have a few tiny insignificant problems with this peice (something felt ever so slightly choppy at the beginning, but not much) it's really very beautiful. I love piano mixes, and somehow, megaman translates so powerfully into piano. Cutman sonata, yes, but there was also Good Night Lil' Man too, don't forget. Both sound so wonderful, and this does as well.

Man... it's late at night, I should be going to bed as I type now, and listening to this song is not helping me keep my eyes open so I can type. This is so great! Okay, now typing with eyes closed.... so soothing... touch typing is great....

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......

Three letters (and an exclamation mark)
WOW!

It's very nice actually and as a Megaman 2 fan, it deserves it's place! It may be a little short but no matter, it still sounds good!

Way to go!

this is a really nice rendition of such a great song. these days, it is entirely too easy for a person to slap a piano voice on a midi, and call it a day. The few live-recorded piano pieces that we have on this site are all very high quality, you can just hear and feel the difference. major props go to this song, although i would have fixed the mild brevity problem (the poor thing is too short) maybe i can just turn on the winamp crossfader, and set it to endless repeat....yeah, i think thats what i'm gonna do.

This is very, very nice. Good piano sample, and I love the idea of the non-sequenced music.

I love how old 16-bit and before song lend themselves to these "sappy" styles when slowed down. I always like to hear someone's interpretation of an upbeat song like this.

Mad props. A worthy download. Hope to hear more tunes like this.

Jayson Litrio,

if you have the sheet music for this piece, i would love greatly. I really enjoy this work and would love to be able to play it as well but i cannot for the life of me play by ear. So if u have this on transscribed, please let me know.

Thanks

What Mustin said and more. Works fluidly. Sounds wedding-ish, and remins me of a lot of klUtZ's work, though it sounds more fluid and quieter than most of his, implying fluidity. And the addition of chimes and a flute make it much more relaxing.

Very nice.

I.... I just don't know what to say. I'm speechless... I like it a lot A-L-O-U-T Honestly enough, if I was at the wedding I damn sure wouldn't have been able to to pick this out. Great job, great job indeed.

Wow.. When I first saw the title on the main page I tried to picture how this song would sound before I downloaded it, and I never imagined it sounding this good.. Wow. This is incredible, cheesesticks to you! :D

This is pretty good stuff to hear. I like it when some of the crazy NES or capcom music is slowed down and made more relaxing. Especially with great sound. This mix sounds very good.

Perfection - 5/5
I can't see anything wrong with it. I listened to it three times through, and then it inspired me to make a Overclocked Piano Remixes section in my iTunes:

Mega Man 2 Dr. Wily's Wedding OC ReMix
Mega Man 5 Good Night, Li'l Man OC ReMix
Zelda2_Thelonius_Temple_High_
Mega Man Cutman Sonata OC ReMix
Yoshi's Island Yoshi's Rag OC ReMix
Mega Man 3 Blue Reflection OC ReMix
Metroid Bluebase Incidental OC ReMix
Zelda AmIEvil Jazz OC remix
Mega Man 3 Gemini Salsa OC ReMix
Super Mario Bros. 3 aquacadence OC ReMix
Zelda 64 Lullaby Proximitus OC ReMix
Super Mario 64 PearlSong OC ReMix
Yoshi's Island CrystallineCaverns OC ReMix
Golden Sun - Saturos
Super Mario 64 SunkenSuite OC ReMix

Your song heads it all up. Zebesian Midnight, SunkenSuite and now this are my three favorite Overclocked Remixes. I'd give them 6/5 but that's just silly. :D

i agree with above - the live stuff ont his site as always been above par. i'm especially glad that mr. litrio has deemed us worthy of another sample of skill. his Zelda peice is on of my favorites on the site.

Wow, that's prolly all i've got to say. That was a beautiful piece. And I agree with you, NES tunes I believe make the best mixes for the whole sake that they're simplisticly astounding. And I must say, this was a job very well done. It's only a shame that the song is over before you really know it, but hey! that's what "repeat" is for! 8)

I just wanted to respond to all of you guys and thank you for all of your kind, warm, and generous comments. I was a little unsure at first how people would take this one, and I'm very excited to hear that people are enjoying it. I'm truly Looking forward to the BB as this is my first post, and looking forward to hearing what everyone has to say (positive or negative) about my future contributions, as I will def. be posting remixes and comments quite often from now on. Once again, thanks for making my day and for everybody that emailed me a personal message. Game music forever! [/img]

Why, oh why is Tori Amos not singing on top of this? This is godly stuff. Maybe the windchime is a little too loud, but overall, this is brilliant. This is going on my next OCR CD.

I'm not going to beat around the bush - This is a _wonderful_ remix to listen to while you're on psychedelics. This is by far one of the most peaceful songs in my MP3 directory and is definitely one of my favorites. Do yourself a favor and download this if you like to trip.

ok people, I am seriously going to commission a professional to transcribe this piece to piano sheet music. It will cost me $24. He is almost set to do it.

I have not paid him yet. Before I do commission him, is there anyone here who's willing to chip in?

I am not selling this commission. It is not done yet. However if nobody chips in for it, and the remixer gives me permission, I might sell it here to try to recoup some of my costs. Right now, I am simply asking if anyone wants to chip in for this commission.

It is a lovely piece and I really want to play it; i know some of you guys do too now!

I've sent everyone who made positive comments on this thread about the piano sheet music commission a PM

For some reason, some PM's wont go out. They go to outbox and I cannot send them. Anyway, if you want this song, please email rather than PM me cause PM's aren't working too well.

Also, I've already emailed the author of this remix. He does not have the sheet music for it. I've looked people, its not there. I am commissioning a professional transcriptor. It will sound EXACTLY like the MP3.

With that being said, thanks.

EDIT: Well!!

Good news people, i've got email back from Jay and he's going to do the transcription himself for free!!!

He'll have something ready for us after 1-2 weeks or so. He says he was a perfectionist and wanted it to be note perfect.

Thanks Jay!

Wow... that's great news!

I had actually emailed him about a transcription a while back and it looks as if he feels like making one...

Thx to everyone who suggested sheet music for it!

-Edit

Yes, it's NEVER too late to learn piano... but I can't speak for myself since I started at 10, but as long as you're dedicated enough it works out fine (and as long as you ahve a good instructor)

Hey Guys...

I am shocked that I received about 60 personal emails either asking for sheet music or just to comment - so for starters, I wanted to thank everyone for being so nice again and also for wanting to play it for themselves. I guess I'll do some more piano arrangements, lol.

I only learn and write music by ear, I do not read music; mainly because I taught myself how to play piano and never took lessons. So this is my solution for those who want it..

I don't know how (or if it's even possible) to post files on a thread, so, if anyone emails me at magickal7@aol.com, I will send them the MIDI file of the piano part for Dr. Wily's Wedding. It was not sequenced, just played 'live' and is the exact notation of the MP3. So don't expect the time signature to be correct, or the tempo - just print out the sheets and go with the flow.

Thanks everyone! - Jayson Litrio
I am awaiting 3 new OC posts, as well as working on a new piano arrangement and a secret side project for OC. Future is bright!

I figured I would cut Jayson a little slack and just host the midi file on my site for whoever wants it. Less time sending midis means more time making new songs.

I converted the midi with Overture but it's giving my some problems.

Thanks for sending it to me!

Did anyone ever manage to get a score for this song? So one could attempt to play it? I'm just wondering.. I'd really like to play it.

As a fan of songs like Evenescence's Eternal this really can be something to throw right next to it and no one would complain, even if this song was replayed 3 times to equal the time that Eternal takes up.
Anyway this an amazing track that will remain on my playlist.

Jayson is DA MAN!!

Seriously, I first hear this song a bunch a years ago and only your version keep this notes in my head against my will... it's... just... so... damn... great bro!!!!!!!

Keep the piano thing working dude! The concept of turning a beaty songs into a mellow and quiet one (or the inverse) is one concept that'll never dry out of potential.

If only I was a pretty girl, I would thank you in so many ways man! lol (Forget that last one...)

Hope my gf don't ever see this post!

I really deserves my username. I actually listened to all the remixers from the games Iīve played before I joined, now I just thought I go through all of them again and review, but the question is:
HOW DID I MANAGE TO MISS ONE!?
Seriously, beautiful piano, strings and flute as excellent side-instruments, and an arrangement so magnificent that I imaginarily punches myself for finding this masterpiece so late.
But nothing is too late, I can still download it, canīt I? Jayson, dude, one of the best pianoremixes Iīve heard, thanks again.
I only learn and write music by ear, I do not read music; mainly because I taught myself how to play piano and never took lessons. So this is my solution for those who want it..
Then weīre in the same boat. I myself play some piano, and itīs all in my head. I canīt do much while Iīm playing piano. I canīt talk, canīt look, sometimes not breath, so trying to read while playing would be nearest impossible. But who knows? Learning Song of Storms single playing was impossible at first, now I nearly master it in a easy way.
Good to hear that you have new stuff coming up. Keep on playing dude. Someday you might play at your own wedding as well.

Would have worked great as a solo piano piece, but the flute is a nice addition and really comes into its own quite well in the latter half.

Nice piano work. I love piano mixes. Flutes are an added bonus.

Complete vibe change on the source, I like it. Very contemplative, very pretty. It certainly doesn’t make me think of evil dragons and such. Nice work.

Kudos for originality AND making something good! Not gonna lie: I didn't want to download something that was a "Wedding" themed remix. I relented (don't remember the circumstances :<), downloaded it, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm like: "Man, I'd never think to remix video game music as a theme to a wedding, let alone find some way to make it good", but you delivered :-P Scha-weet

Probably one of the first 10 remixes I ever downloaded, this one has persisted through a lot to remain awesome. The arrangement is wonderful, being very true to the source, but feeling completely different. This kind of epic transformation is what I really like hearing, especially when the end result is this good. Awesome work right here, people, check it out. :-)

SoulinEther

I never reviewed this remix...pathetic of me!

This is awesome stuff: it goes to show how amazingly versatile the source is. The mood is completely shifted to something happy, warm, maybe a little nostalgic and optimistic for the future, sort of all rolled into one... and it totally fits a wedding. (Is there a reason for the overt wedding feel to this piece?)

Wish I could hear more out of you, Mr. Litrio; this doth sate mine desire quite well.

This is soo late, but I've been listening to this song on repeat for two days and I just have to have some sort of sheet music or tutorial for it! Do you or anyone on here transcribe? Please contact me on the Kyle Landry piano forum, I'm Krystal Sharz (easy to find I'm online most days and there arn't many people on that site)
