I know it's not an objective statement to make, but for me Icecap mixes do have to have something quite special going for them to compete with the mixes we already have.

Unfortunately this mix didn't have that something. The pitch bend flute failed to impress, and the guitar sounded decidedly fake. In addition, the groove seemed to make the whole song drag it's heels.

the 80's feel is what makes this mix unique. sounds culture-clubish.
i'm not liking the flute lead. and i'm definately not liking the guitar. this arrangement is quite simple...in fact the harmony is more simple than the original, i believe. i dont particularly care for the piano interlude. monophonic interludes rarely work.

i'd say pimprove the dynamics, make the harmonies more sophisticated, and look for some better sounds.

not bad, could use some work.

Hmm, this song is indeed the exact same as the original with a few tiny additions - simple beat loop and a pitch bend.

MMM counterpoint. Creative, but not very well done.

This song desparately needs more variation.

I dunno, i kinda like the pitchbendy flute instrument..

damnit more claps.

Anyway, yeah that guitar sounds pretty dead.

if this went somewhere other than repeating itself I might be leaning
toward a yes.. The piano bridge is a nice break, but it's been repeating
the same theme a bit too long before that..

Clever little ending.
Definatly lots of neat stuff going on here. Shows a good deal of promise
for stuff in the future. With more new material, or at least variation on
the original melody, this could be in for the running, but as for now it's
just too close to the original as far as arrangement goes.
