Look at this: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/34082.html
I'm so excited! Violence + awesome style = seems that this can be a great game.

It's certainly very pretty. I had to look twice when I saw the "Nintendo". I'm rather interested in this.

Wow, Nintendo's M rated games can be counted on one hand, I think. They didn't use the Wii logo, so it looks like Nintendo is actually helping out with this. Is that true? And then, how much input will Nintendo actually have? Depending on that, this could just join the already massive pile of games hurt by shoddy motion controls.

My interest is peaked, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm withholding my opinion for now. As it is at the moment, it could be awesome or it could plain suck.

Bwahahah... theres something really appealing in a trailer that simply shows different, creative ways to brutally annihilate your enemies. Game might suck though, but the key elements are totally THERE.

*CRUNCH*

Quite interested in it. Cartoony gore works just fine so long as the other elements of the title compliments it for the better. :)!!

For those who don't know, PlatinumGames is made up of people from the late Clover. These are the same guys who made Okami.

My hopes are high.

Looks very promising so far, a bit like a much more stylish God Hand.

Also, although unlikely, I'm going to be pretty pissed if you they use Gary Jules' version of Mad World in their ads (or heaven forbid in game).

I'm confused...
Nintendo doesn't do that kinda game I thought.

Anyone else think the character they show looks like Marcus Fenix?

Well, is still a Wii Game, but I don't think that Nintendo is much involved in the project...

Wow this looks pretty goddamn brutal, if it gets decent reviews I might actually buy it. The fact that the protagonist looks like a combination of FFVII Cid and the protagonist from God Hand makes this so much more awesome :D

Haha, that was just plain clever :).

Cartoony violence is always a welcome change from video game 'realism' gore. Though I'm a little confused to see this in someones Wii collection in between Boom Blox and Carnival Games.

Wii NEEDS things like that. It seems almost a kid console with all the shit that comes out from the 3rd party developers...

It looks good. I would like to play it though before I make an opinion on it. Also, from the level of violence, it's just a matter of time before Jack crawls his way out of the woodwork to attack.

This only makes me hunger for another Film Noir video game, but done in black and white kind of like the movie Renaissance, anyone else?

Saw this on IGN a few days ago. The style kinda reminds of Sin City.

I am exited.:<

Hee, hee. I LOL'd, especially on the last one. This game looks fun. *thunk* *crunch* *squish, squish* *splat*

PS Hey. Is it just me, or does that big guy remind anyone else of Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop?

Hell, even the original Tears for Fears version would be cliche...

Exactly. They make shitty games. (Actually, they're pretty decent, but a pale shadow of their former selves)

I'm not an advocate of violence for violence's sake. It worked for God of War, effectively demonstrating just who Kratos was and what he was willing to do. Let's see if this is able to pull it off.

You know...I think there may be something called, "too violent." Seeing the review for this on gametrailers, I just don't know if I'd feel comfortable dealing with that much blood and gore. I'll admit, I enjoyed No More Heroes and Fallout 3 a lot, but sometimes, too much is too much, you know? In any case, my friend got this game, so we'll see if I end up borrowing it from him at some point...

Wow, look, a guy with a chainsaw in a video game.

We know we're on seriously untrodden ground with this one.

... What. The point of God of War was gratuitous violence. Kratos' story was penned (read: ripped from Greek mythology) as an excuse to have that much violence.

I've seen the review on gametrailers, and i'm psyched! Although i'm not spending 50 euro's on this game (seeing as RE5 comes out tomorrow, and due to it's short singleplayer), but i'll definatly pick it up when it drops in price.

Pretty good metascore so far (86 with 16 reviews), so I'll be excited to play it when I get some spare time for it.

I had to laugh at the projected 7-8 hours of gameplay. Finally a great, mature game and we get something that short? I really am starting to feel sorry for the Wii when its best efforts is a solid 7-8 hours and countless hours on my Boomblox which is basically a puzzle game anyway..

Can't say as I agree, personally. How long was any MGS game? Seems like an ideal play length for an action game to me.

I think he was saying that God of War used said gratuitous violence as a device to demonstrate the barbaric nature of the character, thus being beneficial to the narrative and making it an exception to his usual rule against "violence for violence's sake".
