These have been getting pretty popular recently, but haven't shown up here for some reason, so I thought I'd share with you guys.

Western Show on Super Mario World (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mO26RQkfID8)

CRASH!!! (Let's do it) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdzjVnH9YoY)

The World Warrior (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuIB4jshjO0)

My First Friend (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etw3aSumBEU)

Golbez's Four Fiends of the Elements (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9NT6CElR36M)

There are many more, but these are the most well-known. They were all written/performed by one guy (not sure about the female vocals, who knows what's possible with technology these days). The Street Fighter II song is an original.

I've had these all stuck in my head since I watched them. The videos are entertaining and the game-related lyrics in the SF2 and FF4 songs are just great. And I don't think I'll be able to see/hear Crashman the same way again...

This is awesome, I'm a sucker for catchy music. I'm pretty sure the female vocals are the guys pitchshifted voice which makes it so much better :D

I've never been more touched by the Dr. Mario theme. The slight changes to the harmonies at the end were a great touch.

Yeah, makes me wonder why we don't have more stuff like this on OCR. Really thinking about submitting a piano solo in that style.

I don't think many people here are capable of pulling off harmonized J-pop style vocals (Jovette Rivera - Crossroads is an awesome exception to that though), but I'd definitely love to hear someone prove me wrong and do something like this. :)

Then again we've got "Music of My Groin" so I think we win in the long run.

Well, there's a lot of autotuning in these videos. Some of it practically sounds synthesized in how perfectly the voices move together... in fact they might not have even been overdubbed, just copied + pitchshifted to make it tighter. I wouldn't be surprised. My guess is the female voices are a result of that technique too. Not that they aren't cool :) Just saying, it's not all about vocal skill.

My First Friend was an extremely emotional trip (gigantic understatement). That video deserves way more views, aka millions. Ugh, my spirits are reallly heavy right now.

dude, I was totally loving that first friend video. Maybe it's a guy thing, but, dammit if that doesn't pull on my heart string & remind me of my old dog, RIP.

Even when completely prepared (reading the comments), there was a high lump-in-throat factor there... (Love it!)

The other vids were hilarious though!

Nice songs! One thing:

The Street Fighter II song is an original.
Part of the Street Fighter one's background music is Alive by Soul'd Out. Still good, though.

All of these were awesome. I also got choked on the Dr. Mario song. My dog went mostly-blind this month...sad.

I've managed to find a bunch of his mixes, including the tracks used on the music videos. I've placed them in a sendspace link in a zip file under the name "Hyadain Tracks". The only thing that's missing is "World Warrior"

Wowza. The Dr. Mario one had me bawling like a baby by the end (partly due to the fact that I'm seriously hopped up on meds right now, and partly because my dog who's been my best friend since I was five died a few weeks ago.) I seriously thought you guys were all just being a bunch of saps. I was wrong.

Of course the rest of the songs stand in very stark contrast to that one. This guy is hilarious.

Lies. I do not remember you joining this site before last week. You obviously hacked your account for OCR cred...

Dang I hope you dont mind a necro on this ...

Some was asking me if I heard of Hyadain and sadly I have not so much. Does anyone have a site for him besides the paging through google for an hour. I am looking really for his Final Fantasy music remakes of course or any more information on who he is before I try to play some of his music. (thanks in advance)

Hyadain's remixes are very, very good and the man is very talented. My favorites are his verison of Terra's theme (FF6) and The Four Lords Theme (FF4)

EDIT: I just listened to that original track. Damn it's already good.

Yes, but count on youtubers to mirror the shit out of popular videos

So glad this thread was bumped (missed thread the first time around). I'd only heard the 4 Elements and Crash (Lets Do It). Didn't know there were so many. Thanks Schwaltzvald for the mp3s.

Want me to try hunting them down like I did with the earlier ones..?

I'll admit I'm still on my touhou shtick  as I found a little under 500GBs of every possible touhou doujin album and I'm still finding newer ones to add to my collection.

But I'll try nonetheless :)!!

Edit* Unrelated but what the hell...

ALRIGHT LISTEN UP FELLOW OCR MEMBERS

I quit being lazy around last night and got it ready.

Here is Hyadain's music set (http://www.sendspace.com/file/vl4v0s)

I must say though I think it's missing maybe one or two songs from the original set I've put up last year but if you already have it then don't be worried.

Enjoy~!

The set should have all the songs mentioned; Ganbare Goemon (rather awesome), World Warrior as well as the others are there.

Schwatz, I think I kind of really fucking love you right about now. Maybe.

Also Hyadain gets several awards; one for making me tear up at a Youtube video, one for making me listen through ALL of a song from Rent (how the FUCK), and one for doing songs for EVERY chapter of Dragon Quest IV. Fucker is AWESOME.

Still downloading, I will let you know. I know the hyadain2525 (http://www.youtube.com/user/hyadain2525) user on Youtube puts up HD versions of some of the videos, though.

EDIT: You're missing a few of the newer ones ("Journey to Tomorrow", "Cyan", "Ragnar and Healie"), and the titles could be more English-friendly ("Roiyaru Sutoreto Furasshu" instead of "Royal Straight Flush"? Really?), but overall I think this is a pretty damned fine collection. Well done, good sir.

Schwaltzvald

Thought I was missing a couple...

As for the names, that's how I found them and that's how I left them. I just tried retouching the files so that they were not "muddled" or "clipped" as when I found them. I was less than thrilled about it and tried my best to fix them.

Curiously, any one interested in the collection I mentioned earlier..?

perhaps I can just once a week post an album to be shared..?

If there's no interest/move denied by the mods/admins here I'm cool keeping it private...

No problem, check out some of my other posts if anything else interests ya as I have a tendency to post youtube links to music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GOBrJCHXAg&feature=channel_page) that I find or some how some way relates to the topic; even if I have to shoehorn it in.
