A few days ago this amazing song came by on television, I was only able to record a small piece of it. I've been searching the Internet, but I can't find it's title, album or the game it was originally created for...
I've uploaded the file (only 1.29 MB to download): http://users.fulladsl.be/spb31617/unknown.mp3
Does anyone have an idea where this song comes from (sorry for being a noob)
All hints are greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Hey...sorry I have no idea as to the song, but what station were you watching when this came on, and what time, what timezone, and what was going on the TV when this came on?

This doesn't sound familiar. What makes you think it's from a game?

The song was used as background music on a Dutch television station in a show where some computer games were reviewed. Most of the reviewed games had their own theme or in-game music as background, but this one was used when reviewing Final Fantasy (can't remember which one exactly). So I downloaded all Final Fantasy soundtracks I could find but the song wasn't part of any :|.
And so I hoped it was used as soundtrack in another game, and you guys would know which one :-P.
By the way thanks already for spending time on my 'problem'. Greatly appreciated!

Was it Gamekings? :P
It definitely doesn't sound like something Uematsu would do so I'm leaning towards newer Final Fantasy titles (maybe ones that aren't part of the main series?). Might as well just be from some anime though :|

@Tensei-San: it was from a Flemish show, called "Gammo", on VT4.
That it would come from FF was only a wild guess though, but it sure sounds 'epic' enough if you'd ask me .

They might have used music from a movie or from a stock library. People do it all the time.

I agree, but even then someone should be able to recognize it, isn't it?

Nope, not from Valkyrie Profile (downloaded the whole soundtrack and listened to it several times)... But a good guess to start with, thanks Radical Dreamer!
And so the search continues

Mystery solved! The theme is called 'Villa Volta' and was created by the Dutch composer Ruud Bos for a theme park attraction in The Netherlands (Efteling).
Thx for your help guys!
