sfz help

I can't get my SFZ working... I've been getting a huge headache trying to figure it out and I guess I'm horible at finding info on the internets, so I'll ask here. Those of you who saw my post in Remixing, feel free to consider me an idiot =)

Anyways, hope someone could lend a word or two!

well, all you should do is make sure the .dll is installed into whatever directory you have your VST's in, and you should be able to open it up like any other softsynth.

OK, I wiped sfz off my computer and redownloaded it, and here's what I have in the folder: the sfz .dll file, the sfz application icon, an uninstaller and an uninstal DAT file. The program opens fine, and even recognizes my keyboard, but the output dropdown menu is grayed out... Do i have to open VST plugins within music software or do they operate independently?

Despite my idiocy in the area of digital music, i figured out how to make it work! Thanks Circles, I had misplaced the .dll and that's where the problem was!
