I'm in, I've started on something, it's not great, but it's something... I don't however want to win by default so we need more interest in this compo! We should have a sig or something for it.

I've never re-mixed anything in my life, so by my standards, I'll be lucky if I don't make my speakers explode! Hopefully I'll get it done in time.

I listened to the source tune and it's been stuck in my head all day! I really don't have any time for this, but I just might have to put something together for my personal satisfaction.

Well that, and also the fact that it's only in its second month of revival, we should get some banners around and spread the word, how popular was it back in its day?

Finished my mix; Aerial Groove (http://www.tindeck.com/audio/file/ldtp-Aerial%20Groove.mp3)
My first re-mix ever, so I'm not sure if I stayed close enough to the source, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless, I'll take any critique I can get. I enjoyed doing this mix, bitcrushed drums and a little bit of glitch, it was fun to fool with. Let me know what you think. Enjoy!

I hate download sites like that, make you wait, give you popups... etc. You should try out tindeck.

I'm very disappointed with the turnout actually, oh well, if I get a little feedback all will be right in the world. I'd vote if I could, but it seems rather pointless to me... Get your butt in there and vote people!
Hardbeat Acolyte
06-17-2008, 06:56 AM
Yea, it's probably pointless for me to vote as well then.
(Uh, I was going to say "Good luck ZT!" but it sounds kinda odd when I'm your one opponent this round.. Anyways, well mixed, especially when it's your first compo entry =D)
(Hm... That doesn't count as a qualitive comment or whatever does it? I hope not, lol)

lol, seems like we're kinda trashing that "no comments in voting stage" rule, hope we don't get our butts kicked by doulifee. Good luck to you aswell. And it's not my first compo entry persay, (I've entered 2 CMC's) but it's my first ReMix ever, (CMC is for original songs). Hopefully we get a good voting and critique turnout because we sure didn't get many entrants.
EDIT: We shall forcefully make the people vote, (that, or I just got bored,)

It's all fun and games until some poor chap has an epileptic fit but ok =P
Zephyr
06-19-2008, 03:51 PM
I thought about that actually, so I slowed it down a bit before uploading it, it used to be faster! Also, I figure that not too many epileptics would be on a VIDEO GAME remixing site, so I think we're safe.

Will do Chief!
I've never made just a midi before, so I'm figuring it all out. Making a percussion track threw me off for a little bit, but I looked back at other people's midis. For some reason every midi that I export the volume is freakishly low, I'll get to that later, I might have a few questions for you yet about midi making.

Thanks Gileece, Song's done and sent in, hope everyone participates this next round!
Anyone know of a good hosting site for midi's (yes I know this gets asked a lot)? I use tindeck, but they don't take midi's. I had to use private hosting.
Also, since it worked last time:
