Internet fonts

I'm sure this is a really simple question, but I have forgotten how to update Internet fonts, so that characters which display as unintelligible boxes or question marks will work. How can I make it work?

I'm pretty sure it's just a case of having the fonts installed on your computer in the first place. If it's an Asian language that's not displaying, check to see if your font packs for those are installed. For XP: Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages; and see if the checkboxes are checked.
