Wii Music finally comes out. Miyamoto played a saxophone while a drummer played the drums.

Utterly disappointing. It's a poor man's Rock Band without a rhythm focus. :\

Did anybody really expect that much out of this game anyways.
For the wii owners who do own Rock Band. This will not appeal, for the ones who dont, Go buy Rock Band. Wii Muisc is nothing compared to RB. i am Happy with my RB for 360 ^^

When they first announced it back in 2006, I thought it would be perfect for one of those throw-away insert games. Like Wii Sports, but not as fun.
They had better sell this one cheap as hell, otherwise it's not going to be worth getting.

I wouldn't even recommend rock band for wii owners, unless they own another system as well.
No DL content :(

I wouldn't recommend Rock Band period. Terrible guitar, terrible drums, only a few good songs.
If you don't already have it, don't get it.

yeah except buying EVEN MORE instruments is a joke and rockbands solid and constant dlc wins along with its excellent song list
also the interface is a zillion times better

The saxophone sounded like Soundblaster general midi. Wooo. That "professional" drummer looked like he knew how to drum, but the sounds weren't always syncing very well. They don't seem to register right when the player would usually want them to. I'm sure it's probably pretty tough technically to iron that out, but I don't see many people getting too into playing the drums on this game other than in a kids' toy capacity.

I didn't mind the lack of DL content, but we couldn't even get the proper World Tour mode with create a character. Are they that fucking lazy?
GHWT is promising (so far) that the Wii won't be left out. For Wii owners (and PS2 owners) Rock Band sucks. Which is tragic.
Back on track though, Wii Music is too little too late. I'm tired of Nintendo's stupid tech demos. Fun and amusing for a little while, but not something to bank a press conference on.

You have terrible taste. But if you have a Wii, I definitely can't recommend Rock Band. DLC is what makes the game so great.
Wii Music does look a bit disappointing, but I'll reserve judgement until we've seen more of it.

I might be going off topic with this one, but what's the deal with the "touch sliding" deal on the GH4 guitar? Sounds interesting.

Guitar Hero 4: World Tour is coming out on the Wii with dl, online, career, and all that jazz. There. Done. Everyone who's checked it out says it's just as good as the 360 version and that it outdoes Rock Band.
Wii Music? We still barely know anything about it. Nothing about it sounds crappy to me. Playing Nintendo music (and God knows what else) with 60 instruments sounds pretty cool to me. What else do you want, Nintendo to come and change your diaper?
Seriously, Mad World exclusive, Tenchu exclusive, Fatal Frame exclusive, a new Animal Crossing (with online voice), a sequel to Wii Sports, several new first person shooters, wiiware and virtual console games every week, an upgrade to the Wiimote, Mario Kart Wii updates, Mega Man 9 (for all systems), Deadly Creatures, Clone Wars, The Force Unleashed, Mushroom and a freakin' Castlevania game that plays like Power Stone. Spore?
Gasp! It sounds like all of this lack of games is complete bullcrap to me.

Yeah, that sucks. Nintendo sucks for not doing something about that, because that's a real problem. Not for me though, because I don't have room for rock band or guitar hero in my apartment (it lacks storage space as well).

That's why you use an SD card to expand it. Heaven forbid that's what the slot was for.

I was definitely nonplussed by the demonstration today, but I'll give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt pending more information.

I agree - holding judgement for the time being, mainly because I don't fully understand at this point how it's supposed to work. The way it has been described in articles really has me confused, in that there seems to be no particular rhythmic component or means of specifically generating the desired note. So far it sounds like an electronic version of air guitar, which would make it more of an unarticulated toy than a game.
1337 1 - The SD card slot is basically useless at this point. Still hoping they'll add function to it soon, instead of it just being attic space (which is hardly useful for that even, considering the data transfer rate seems to be about as fast as just re-dling the content you're moving to the card).

What else do you want [?]
I want Nintendo to give me a game worth my time, effort, and hard-earned cash. Not a tech demo that should have been bundled with the Wii in the first place, like Wii Sports was.
Yeah, that sucks. Nintendo sucks for not doing something about that, because that's a real problem.
Everybody who complains about this needs to shut their trap. You bought the console for $200 cheaper than everything else on the market, and the games are at least $10 cheaper too! You really do get what you pay for.

Yeah, I'm so tired of Nintendo forcing me to buy games. I have a family to feed, and a car to fill up.
They should only release games I am gonna enjoy since they shove them down my throat.
