We have had music request threads dedicated to relaxing music and music to "set the mood", and now we gotta get one for songs that get that fightin spirit movin.
What songs do you guys listen to that really gets you in the mood to where you can take on the world? It does not need to be limited to just remixes.
For me, Audix's Aqueous Transgression (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01726/) really gets me pumped. I usually listen to that track while getting ready to compete in brawl tournaments.
So, what gets you goin?

Pretty much anything by vampire hunter dan has a lot of epic addrenaline moments (although, he also has calm moments in the same song.)
uhmmm...
One good one from Megaman X is pretty fast paced.
Megaman X - Brainsick Metal - Protricity (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00569/)
OOH! PunchOut has another good one.
Punch-Out!! - Little Mac's Confession - GameOver (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00605/)
and their megaman one is prety intense, as well.
Megaman 3 - Cataclysmic Clash - GameOver (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00605/)
If I think of more, I'll update.
Also, could I get a link to the set the mood thread? I missed that one.

I have a playlist for UT that I just redid. Mostly I just dumped the "techno" directories in, but it works. It will be refined as I go through it.
It includes a fair bit bLiNd's work, some Crystal Method, and Nagato Versus Asakura from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, because it fits with fast-paced gun fights.
Oh, and for comedic value, 24 Hours Open from Cowboy Bebop: Knocking on Heaven's Door. Something about it sort of fits in a humorous way...

man, that's sick playing with 24 hours open in a FPS.
serial killer in the making, you are.
But speaking of Cowboy Bebop, Tank! is also excellent if playing a FPS, or a stealth game.

The song that really makes me want to get aggressive is DJCarbunkle's (He changed his remixer name though) Suffering Planet. That song kicks my ass every time!

For me that would be the following:
Fight on! http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01253/
And generally a lot of RPG battle music just really gets that adrenaline going. Golden Sun, FF6/7, Tales of Symphonia really do it for me :)
My Trance playlist changes quite frequently, but when playing Halo I like to listen to Eternity by Matt Darey Ft. Izzy (original mix) to get my pwn on. http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR163747
Carte Blanche by Veracocha (1999 original) really gets me enrgized too, and I listen to that when running/excersising. http://www.htfr.com/more-info/MR26542
The Moon loves the Sun by The Moon ft. Nu NRG is also a very energetic track that I used to play a lot when doing art and whatnot.
One thing is for sure, when I'm not listening to music I have like 50% less motivation/energy to get things done at all :D. Music helps makeing a game out of everything.

Hell I used to have that song in my UT2k3/2k4 playlist too. Granted I also was laughing manically whenever I took someone out. My roommates always got a kick out of it watching me play.

I am not a psycho in the making. I got my diploma years ago! It's made from a classmate's skin and everything!
I find some of the more trance-ish stuff is great for FPSs, since the fast tempo gets you going but when the trance part kicks in right, you're all calm and relaxed, making for a weird state of mind where you're in the zone. Reflexes are maxed out, but you're not twitchy and shit.
PS: Cyborg Jeff's F-Zero GX remix is a big part of said playlist. Go find it, it's awesome. Too bad it's OCRemoved for being "too close" to the the source material

Also things like this are good for running. Good music has saved my 2 mile times in the past.
I reccomend almost anything from Metroid Metal. Their site is here, and Im glad I found it.

I reccomend Metroid Prime 3 Theme/Bryyo

or Super Metroid's Lower Norfair.

How about a whole genre that nobody has heard of: Dark Electronica (specifically Aggrotech).
After a long shift at work, I steal an espresso and blare this in my car. I love this type of music.

Just about any boss theme will do it to an extent. I do love them boss themes.
In particular, FFs VII and VIII, Metroid Prime (Ridley), Devil May Cry (Phantom, Griffon), Sonic Adventure (Chaos 6) and Sonic Adventure 2 (GUN units) are favorites.
I also like Disturbed, Metallica, Rage, Tool and Megadeth.

Depending on mood...
I can get pumped from Buckethead, Rage, Tub Ring, Mindless Self Indulgence, Devil Came Down to Georgia (from GH3), Pendulum, Infected Mushroom and some others that escape me at the moment...
However i could just be as board and "ho-hum" over this selection depending on mood and have falling asleep to a number of these usual toe-tappin', head-banging favourites of mine

"To Tame the Perilous Skies" by David Holsinger. It's a tone poem for wind band that describes a pilot's journey through a dogfight. Awesome!

Nothing like Drum and Bass. Artists that you may not have heard of that are worth mentions (although these guys are certainly far from obscure in the DnB world):
Spor:
http://www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=8ix8gYj3Wjk (Spor - 1up)
http://www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=9m4iyYFxKh0 (Spor - Deathray)
DJ Fresh/Bad Company UK:
http://www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=gymNhQR7_-E (Bad Company UK - Planet Dust)
http://www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=L8aO9u_927g (DJ Fresh - Exhale)
Its worth mentioning this guy mentored Pendulum, and later renounced them once Pendulum basically sold out. DnBdrama lolz.
Noisia:
http://www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=HlOHr7qye6w (Noisia & Mayhem - Exodus (Feat. KRS One)
Once the rap kicks in everything is so brutal. They also do some pretty cool house/breaks stuff, like:
http://www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=ApAD9Y0uaZw (Noisia - Raar)
http://www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=oc8vdU7ZQYw (Noisia - Yellow Brick)

Demons & Wizards - Crimson King

Blind Guardian - The Last Candle

These three songs never fail to get me pumped for anything, among a few others.

I recommend a series of CDs called Exit Trance from Japan.

I got a few of the anime remixes in there but there other memorable remixes such as the Numa Numa Song, Livin' on a Prayer, and Canon D-Minor on a couple the discs.

Oh man, Bahamut! You're speaking in tongues now, and I fear I may be the only person who understands you. The Last Candle is one of my all-time favorite sing-along songs yo! It doesn't make me feel pumped or aggressive as much as just happy. ^_^
Another song that forgot. Have you guys heard the Korean version of Dizzy's theme from Guilty Gear XX? That one is pretty heavy and gets me going. As for boss themes, hmmmm. There's probably a boss theme I like more, but as far as FF goes, I gotta go with FF IX's song. It's just got that brutal string riff in it.

The one you have labelled as "UnknownButVaugelyGundam" is actually a remix of Megumi Hayashibara's "Give a Reason", the opening song for Slayers NEXT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slayers).
Trank 20 is actually a remix of Komm Susser Tod from Evangelion.
Please update the files accordingly.

I love these threads. I always find something new to listen to.
Crimson Sunset (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qy4KBCnVHB4) from the Tekken 5 soundtrack always does it for me.
And while Global Trance's sets in general get me pumped, his winter advisory pt.2 (http://www.global-trance.com/xhtml_PA004.php) has the most untz.

Lyrically, The Last Candle is about last minute hope in pushing adversary hope, which is partly why it pumps me up.
