RIP Mr. Wright
He was certainly a huge influence on me, being raised with Pink Floyd from a young age.
I'll forgo the obligatory "off to the Great Gig in the Sky" reference.

Geez, he helped write one of their best albums, Wish You Were Here, which is also one of their best songs. I'll post it here for the heck of it.

I read the news when I got home this evening. Seems kind of sudden, it wasn't too long ago that he was touring with Gilmour.
RIP, Rick.

Wow...just...wow... I can't believe it. Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite bands.

this really choked me up as rick was one of my big influences. He's one of the forefathers of prog rock keyboards and though he wasnt always at the spotlight of pink floyd, he was the brains behind alot of the writing, especially in the early stuff.
RIP rick

And yet another great musican has passed on. I'm not that big of a fan of Pink Floyd but I do enjoy their works.
