The Slice-net. Kinda like the one used by the Predator in AVP, except instead of it just being used on a single target, you could use it to slice through as many targets as you have room for by adjusting the length of the cables. It would launch six gravity-defying metal orbs outwards with three orbs on each side holding three different cables. Basically a giant egg slicer.

Back in the Descent days I loved the Guided missile so much. I had an idea to expand upon it.

The Guided missile is exactly what t sounds likes; it a missile you guide with your controls. I wanted to have it leave a white trail behind it. If another player (or yourself, of course) touched that trail, both the trail and the missile would explode, damaging anything near-by. It was far more suited as a deterrent for going somewhere than attacking, and the setup to use it would require that you have both ample time and a safe place to fire it off... but I think it could have been fun for at least a few levels.

Le pointy stick. No. Actually what I have in mind is a special staff that can absorb or reflect bullets made up of certain energy types and fire them back. Only a certain number of course. Otherwise it would be cheating. Maybe it could be all-powerful in some kind of sandbox mode. Anyway, think gravity gun only with energy, not barrels.

i found it on a mod, but i like a lot the idea, it's the stuff gun, that allow you to copy a "props" from the source engine and duplicate it indefinitely, way to use whatever you want as projectile.

how about a big boxy gun called the Meat Grinder it has a chute on top and grinding gears in the boxy part and a big tank coming out the back and there is no ammo for it, you must pick up dead players and stuff them in the top and they get ground up and then when you hold down the trigger it sprays their guts out a nozzle in the front and each blob does not much damage but there are a lot of guts spraying everywhere!! also it sprays bone shards mixed in with the guts and these do much more damage

Okay deal. And I am 18 as of March '07. I'm just more or less mature based on the circumstances, as is anyone else. Unless you're a robot. Or a politician. Or a robot-politician. Wait. They're all robots. Nevermind.

How about kinetic knuckles? They would be like your standard brass knuckles, only instead of just a punch, after that a blast of pure kinetic energy stored up from punching people could be unleashed in a wave all at once, and the kinetic energy could be altered into any shape you wanted as you release it, also affecting the amount of extra damage done.

I think Batman has a pair of those, depending on which media you want to go with. They're silver, fit around his fists, and he uses them on bigger, tougher opponents that don't usually take any damage from normal punches. They tend to have some form of energy sparkling around them.

Well, you're trying, but you're at least a few years too late. I don't know about games from the past too much to tell if they had this in them, but Metroid Prime 2 has the Darkburst and Megaman 9 has the Black Hole Bomb.

My next weapon proposal is not so much a new weapon (Dwemer Shock Darts from Morrowind), but more of a gimmick that I think it should employ. After adding the gimmick, however, it would essentially be a new weapon. Take the basic concept of the shock dart from Morrowind and stick it in a game set in the future, the only other setting where this weapon belongs (aside from alien invasion type games). Then add to its already devastating attack power the trait of making everything electrical stretching out one city block in each direction short out. This would make this weapon a double edged sword. On one hand, you get instant kills with it. On the other hand, every time you use it and it hits a wall instead of the target, you basically turn the whole environment into a Doom 3 knockoff. Oh, and get rid of the dart's insane blast radius. Otherwise it wouldn't matter if you couldn't see. Also, give the enemy night vision so the darkness you create doesn't give you a potential edge. Okay, I'm done now.

I just watched a movie (it sucked) that had an awesome idea for a gun that needs to be used somewhere. It's a gun made from the bones and cartilage of a specially-bred mutant lizard that fires human teeth. It's made of and shoots bones to avoid metal detectors. Cool stuff.
