In a FPS, which is more tempting?

a) writing your name on the wall with bullets

b) maiming NPCs

c) blowing up everything and everyone

d) turning on your teammates

Definitely C, although my opinion is probably influenced by the fact that the first FPS I ever really played was GoldenEye 007. Option A wasn't available because there was a hard limit on the number of bullet holes that would appear on a given level, option B was impossible because there was no maiming system to speak of, and option D was impossible because you had no teammates. Except Natalya, sometimes.

On the other hand; failed a mission objective? Oh well, time to shoot up some crates and lockers and computers that all explode violently for no good reason.

And scientists. Don't forget the scientists.

Mostly because I'm playing Left4Dead all day, and the closest things to NPCs are the bots that fill in for missing human players.

Fucking Zoey is going down the first time she runs off on her own.

To this day, I still cause Valentin some pain in the Statue and Streets levels. And that soldier in Facility near the body armor... rear shot every time.

And scientists. Don't forget the scientists.

When we first got the game, I told my youngest brother that he had to free the scientists trapped in the white canisters in Facility. Boy, was he mad.


Oh, and my vote is c (hooray for explosive chairs!).

I've done A) in nearly every FPS I've ever played. I'm full of massive ADD.
