this is , in my opinion better than the ff7 remix. Very very nice. Im going to get picked to peices because i said that, but yeah this is amazing, and dont worry, only reason u only have 4 replys to this is because its title isnt "FF _____". Very very very good piano/downtempo mix.

I must say, this is good. I love synth is this song. The way everything just seems to mesh together is simply magical. This is some good stuff.

Very nicely done, and I don't say that just because I'm partial to Doom, but it's an excellent rendition of Final Doom's best piece (IMO). Although, some of the new level music is good listening as well. Perhaps this track stuck out more because the original version was one of the most depressing midis I've ever heard, and I like what has been done to spice it up. :)

I Really love the sound of your remixes Red Light, and youve gotten me a lot more interested in the Final Doom soundtrack. All of this comes together very well with the piano and the strings, with the light base. It almost sounds like a heartbeat. I'm a big fan of the depressing music, and I just hope you keep great songs like this coming. 9.9/10, because perfection doesnt exist.

Absolutely excellent! I really hope *hint hint* that there's going to be more where this came from regarding Doom remixes. ;)

This is one of my favorite midis from Final Doom, and this mix is masterfully exceptional.

Redlight, I'll be expecting your next mix with open arms and open ears.

This has to be one of the best songs on OCR that I have heard this far, all the while I played Final Doom on my PC, I almost always had this song playing, and now you kicked it up like 5 notches. I thank you for taking a true classic and making it come out so wonderful, I can feel the song as it flows with all the different transitions. It's ppl like you that do great and keep the "old school" gaming songs alive. Thanks again.

Now this is a great track. Great samples. Very high quality. The guitar sounds very Silent Hill-like in expression. That's a definite bonus, since I love the Silent Hill soundtracks a lot (2 being my favorite).

Great job on this. Really great stuff. A winner is you!

This is doom??? Wow, you've really changed the mood. If i heard this somewhere random i'd never know. That doesn't mean thats it doesn't have any original melody to it, but man, it's completely different than what i expected, i really should have read more closey to what djp was talking about. With that little rant out (or whatever that is) this is truely nice. Great job, it seems to short to me but when i look at it's length time;(3:49) ,that sounds about right, must mean it's that good and i want to listen more i guess. Great job. Sleep deprivation never sounded so good.

The restless cacodemons from the pits of hell have suddenly been turned into beautiful pink little angels in heaven 8O

See ? Evil CAN be quenched by goodness after all

But i like this song all the same. Very moody.

Though i prefer cacodemons the way they are...

This was the credits music, it's meant to sound really sad and DjRedlight did a magnificent job in capturing the emotion of this piece.

The level music in doom is eerie, hardcore and sad all rolled into one. The credits music was always sad though. Remember the victory music from doom 1?

This is quite simply a beautiful piece. I can close my eyes and my senses to everything but the music and I get goosebumps. The first time I heard it(when it was first posted, in fact), I was blown away. That feeling still hasn't gone, and the piece still blows me away each time I listen to it. It's simply amazing just how much this piece manages to retain it's magic throughout and even after, as the somber mood carries on long after the silence begins.

First, I'd like to point out that DJ Redlight is a woman, despite what DJPretzel might write in his reviews :p

This piece is simply amazing! Today I listened to the original for the first time.. THIS is what it's supposed to sound like. Great work, Ashley.

I suggest you check out her website. More awesome tracks there.
Especially "The Gift" and "Relic".

I'm looking forward to hearing more tracks from you like "Memoriam".

DJ RedLight is a woman? I'll have to ask when I see him/her on MSN next.

Still it's interesting to know that all 5 Final Doom tracks on this site have come from Perth, Australia (with a little bit of Texas in one of them.)

Really? News to me... I guess you know what you're talking about, you seem fairly confident. haha.

I don't know where you got that idea. I really should put a "By the way, I'm a guy" page on djredlight.com.

Glad you enjoyed my mixes but, whether you enjoyed them more thinking i was a chick is another matter :P hahaha.

Woah *slaps his forehead*
My apologies to DJ Redlight and DJ Pretzel!! :)

Yes, it was probably the picture on your website and of course the fact that your name is Ashley. I automatically assumed you were a girl, silly me!

Of course it wasn't the reason I enjoyed your mixes! :) My brother sent me "Memoriam" a long time ago, before I had even heard of OCRemix.org, and back then I assumed you were a guy because.. well.. it's game related, hehe.

Thanks to you, Ash, this great mix, and of course DJPretzel I'm now addicted to OCRemix.org :D (Sounds like a bad thing, but it's not!)

I hope I didn't offend you in any way. If I did, please forgive me.
Keep up the good work. I hope you had a great birthday.

Ashley is a predominantly male name in Australia, so...

I've always enjoyed Ashley's Doom mixes and even though I've never even played Final Doom, this is no exception.

I can't quite put my finger on it...:?

..
The electric guitar (at least I think that's an electric guitar -_-;) sounds too much like static, which, imo, detracts from this mix. I'd be a whole lot better with out it.

So far it's an o.k. mix; not too bad, but just misses the mark of greatness.

After randomly seeing "Quick Fix" get bumped, I decided it might be time to check out all 3 of DJ Redlight's Final Doom mixes, and it ended up being a great idea! Final Doom may have been a little obscure next to the first two games, but it was still very good for the doom fans out there, particularly Evilution which featured all new music (featured in these mixes).

I always really liked this intermission track, and distinctly remember how it was used in the secret level as well, which I found pretty cool at the time. The mix adheres to the source quite a bit, while bringing in some new elements that sound completely at home with the original. A logical "upgrade" to the original, I dig!

wow, this is super moody- really nice stuff with the piano and snare rolls. The soaring strings give a more epic quality to it, and the subtle synths help fill out the sound further. Final Doom is one of those soundtracks I have some sort of weird bias against, so that every time I hear a mix of it that is really well done, I am surprised. It's something i've been trying to change of late, and mixes this good help in making progress a lot. Good stuff. :D

Wow, this does feel like a funeral march, making the title feel all the more appropriate. Great mood, it feels melancholy but still "moves" at a very solemn pace. I love how each instrument contributes just a little bit to the song, each one seems meticulously placed and chosen to create a unified sound. Nothing sounds out of place. I'm really pleasantly surprised by this! :-D

This somber, evocative piece is great for these contemplative rainy days. Whether he's a girl or she's a guy, I'm glad DJ Redlight's got a plethora of mixes on the site, although ones hopes we'll see another posted submission soon (the last one was 2007!)
