I feed back that this album will be downloaded in 40 more minutes if that. Not too shabby!
Also I'm madly excited for this.
As am I. but, theres not enough seeders for my crappy 256k dsl ;l So it will take a LONG time.

Getting this in here now, at the beginning of the thread:
For those of you who just want the MP3s, remember you can unselect the files in the FLACs folder, and the torrent will be done a lot quicker. :-)
Also, thanks to the OCR staff for the nice shiny new FLAC files.
But, Larry, I'll hate you forever for sparking that debate and not reading a word of it. o.o

The soundtrack is amazing, and the game looks amazing as well. Downloaded it last night. The only problem is that I suck deperately at it. I've always sucked at fighting games. I only got this one for the soundtrack, in fact. The PS3 controller doesn't make it any easier to rip off those combos. In other news, who did Ken's Theme, aka the Title Screen? Was that Sixto? It has his marks on it, but DAYUM. Whoever did it, damn fine work.

Downloading it now... I so love Street Fighter and I grew up playing the SNES Street Fighter II... this music will make me say... thanks for the memories.
Excellent choice in using HQ MP3s, as well as FLAC. I'm sure pretty much everyone will be happy (save for those who don't like FLAC, but let's not go there, this is a happy thread). The music is EXCELLENT. I'm listening to the soundtrack as I'm typing this, and I have to say, everything is finely tuned. I've also downloaded the game on XBL, and I have to say it looks good too (though I've been hearing about a few minor issues, slight complaints, but otherwise, the game is much fun, I'm looking forward to some online matches).
Anyway, I've heard Blood on the Asphault, and it's a super album, it really is, but compared to the soundtrack, well, honestly, I think the soundtrack really blows it away. I don't know, nor care, how many people agree with me. If you've actually taken the time to listen to it, you cannot deny how well put together it is. There's plenty of texture to go around, and you can really feel the flow of the music itself. It all really jives is what I'm saying.
Anyway, before I make myself look too much like I'm kissing up on ya'll, I'll say great job, and I look forward to more projects like this in the future. You've officially set a new standard.

I'm thoroughly impressed with the work done by all of the remixers on this soundtrack. The quality of work done by all of you is outstanding and this is probably the best way possible to represent the community. Well done sirs and madams(?).
P.S. - Good god AE is a monster.

Champion player DarksydePhil: "This does sound like Vegas music. A lot of people were complaining when they found out this version of the song was gonna be used. But I gotta admit, it does sound like you're in Vegas, on the strip."
Of course, because we kick ass. Fuck anyone who's complained.

Larry, fix frontpage link and make it so that people see the soundtrack!
Otherwise, fantastic job everyone! I especially enjoyed the shorter jingles by Malcos, Palpable's character select tune and obviously Sagat's Moonbike.

Just started listening, and I already love this mash up remix soundtrack.
o.o sweet lord! "Blood on the Asphalt" on its own was a treat, but man the crew really went all out.
Kudos to the entire SF2THDRMX OST crew, you are all awesome! ^_^

Downloaded the game yesterday on the xbox 360, and I must same the remixed music fits the game very well indeed, a remarkable achievement. A few times last night, I had to just pause the game so I could listen to some of the tracks all the way through, love it! :) Thanks so much!!

It's even sweeter hearing the music on the big screen while you're kicking ass. :D
I downloaded the soundtrack yesterday and got to hear just how detailed some of the music is. My favorite is probably AE and Prozax's title theme. Incredible arrangement and performances - what a way to start the game. Also gotta shout out to Malcos' Dhalsim track even though it was on BotA. The original track from the game was always a little annoying to me, and Malcos managed to make it into something great.

Awesome soundtrack guys. Insane. And how the hell did Jose end up doing 21 out of 66 songs? I mean dang.
Jose had to have pulled a lot of OT on the soundtrack. His work is incredible as always. Listening to his track from the game, I had to pull out Blood on the Asphalt just so I could listen to Spittin' Narcissism. I really enjoyed sixto's tracks as well. This is definitely going on a CD and into my car so I can jam up and down the highways.

To clarify, we did present multiple options for each track to Capcom, and they chose what they thought worked best. We really didn't push one version over another: they made the call. I love both takes on the theme. I definitely think AE's works brilliantly in-game.

Just a quick thing I wanted to point out. On the album's page (http://www.ocremix.org/album/id/12/oc-remix-super-street-fighter-ii-turbo-hd-remix-official-soundtrack/), Jivemaster is missing from the remixer list. As a big fan of Jive, I just wanted to make sure this got fixed soon.
As for the album, I can hear how vastly different it is from any other OCR album, even BotA. You can tell that the tracks on HD Remix are meant to be the background music as opposed to being the main focus. Not that this is bad at all, in fact, my brother and I just played Dr. Mario with the in game music turned off and the HD Remix soundtrack playing. Oddly enough, it worked just fine. Another excellent album from OCR!

Amazing game and soundtrack, great to see OC remix getting the recognition it deserves!! Very happy they used Sexy Trunks for Balrogs stage - Excellent Choice , would liked to have seen China Steet Beat (Chun-Li's Stage),Fei-Longer (Fei-Long's stage) and Cammys London Drizzle or Cammy By Night included. But i guess the last two are a little on the chilled out side for their inclusion. :nicework:

"Once your eyes have adjusted to the new Street Fighter flair, you start getting a kick out of the remixed theme tunes. Every Street Fighter fan has a favourite, and having brought on Udon for the visuals, Capcom in its wisdom signed up OverClocked ReMix to handle the audio. What OCR has done with the classic Ryu, Guile and Ken beats, again, remains true to the original material, but injects a thumping modern feel that has your heart racing all the way to that fierce Shoryuken finish. Special mention has to go to Fei Long's new R&B stage theme, which had us returning to the Bruce Lee wannabe's home for the tune alone." - http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=320158

Amazing, sensational, breathtaking. I could go on as to how I could describethe soundtrack. Well done to all contributors, big or small. Highlights for me were Spittin Narcisism, Army Girl and Mountain breaker. Also credit to the modified tracks taken from BotA.
As a side note, call me a n00b but I'm having a hard time finding some of the tracks within the game. Where is Rock the Asphalt? There was no opening demo from what I played, unless I'm mistaken. Oh and the Ranking Display too.

Wow! this is really awesome news, and I'm listening to the album now :)
Interestingly enough, I just finished making an AMV with the one of the street fighter anime movies [here] (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=163831), which is also made by Capcom; so this might be one step closer to industry collaboration on *any* type of remix.
PS. I'm totally making an amv with one of these songs, probably using the Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie.

I've been coming to this site for a while, now, registered just to post this. This has got to be the best game OST I've heard. You did a great job guys. I guess good remixing along with the nostalgia has made this my favorite album by far. Some of the HD versions could've been more creative than just speednig up the tracks, but ya Im not gonna complain since the whole soundtrack is awesome.
My favs:
Rock The Asphalt
Clamato Fever
The Select Few
Reinterpretation (was happy to see this make it in) (Ryu)
Docks Day (Blanka)
Flying Heaven (Fei Long)
Army Girl (Cammy)
Spittin' Narcisism (Vega)
Tribute To The Master (M. Bison)
Fav HD versions.
Made In U.S.A (Ken)
Flying Heaven (Fei Long)
Spittin' Narcisism (Vega)
Once again these are my favs but IMO all the songs fit the game very well.

Haha, nice! Zangief looks like he's about to get his candy ganked by Ryu.
This album is definitely a milestone for OCR and the fan communities of the world. I respect and commend it for that fact. I'm quite sure that the album is full of quality arrangements and very well-designed remixes.
I just don't enjoy listening to most of it very much.
For a few of the themes I blame the source material, since I just didn't like a few of the themes back when I started playing (for these ones that hasn't changed). T. Hawk, Dhalsim, and E. Honda come to mind here, though I do admit to being entertained by djpretzel's "High-Five... Hundred" version. The other two just never stood out very much to me, "New Mexican Thunderbird" and "Reaching for Nirudha" didn't spark anything on Blood on the Asphalt, so they had pretty low chances of sparking much here.
Some of the songs in SFII have always stood out, and I just accept the fact that remixes of them will often be enjoyable just because of how much I enjoy the source. Ken, Guile, and Cammy fit that bill pretty well. "Army Girl" and "Made in USA" were some of my favorite tracks from Blood on the Asphalt, and my opinion remains the same. I did miss "Guile's Mile Long Dong", but I think that "Combat and Service" definitely made more sense for the game.
The rest of the tracks are just hit or miss based entirely on their own merit - at least for me.
"Reinterpretation" is fun to listen to; the Heavy Damage variation did get a little bit grating, but I think part of that was playing a match at heavy damage long enough that it looped
"Street Market" is a miss, I just don't enjoy it. The low note pattern just grates on me a little bit.
Actually, I think that "Docks Day" is the same kind of thing, but to a lesser degree. Maybe it seems less overwhelming in Blanka's theme or something.
Lol at "Red Cyclone". I like the scratching at :59, but I just don't find the whole song to be very appealing. It's definitely something I'll put on when I listen to this album next, but I just don't find the song very entertaining. It's fun though, I kinda wish there was a long version of it to see if it would get more intriguing.
Fei Long's music is a lot more obtrusive then it was. I recall basically always fighting Fei Long in SSF2, but his stage music never stuck with me. "Flying Heaven" is definitely a track that will stick with me, but I don't think it's in a good way.
José the Bronx Rican's pair of instrumental versions make sense in the spirit of the game. That being said, I loved the lyrics to both and really find the very silent versions to be far less entertaining. I even caught myself rapping the lyrics to myself during a match on Vega/Claw's stage. I like the tracks in the game, and they make sense.
"Sexy Trunks" is mellow. I feel that it is too mellow. Balrog is a boxer. He punches people in the face for a living. His theme song makes me feel like I'm shopping for shoes or something. I know his stage represents Vegas and a club atmosphere, but it just feels too mellowed out.
"Sagat's Moonbike" is very well-named. That being said, I didn't particularly like the song as an OCRemix. This is another song that just feels like the remixed version lost a bunch of the intensity from the orginal for no particular reason. That being said, the Heavy Damage version was just too much of that bassline.
"Tribute to the Master" is a mix that I appreciate a fair amount. I like the winds <-> strings alternation a lot. The brass is also quality, for the simple part that it consists of. It's (the brass part) not a particularly interesting part to play, but it does sound good.
"Mountain Breaker" is definitely a piece that I think fits into its place in the game well (at least it does if the arcade requirements for fighting Akuma are the same). Intense, dangerous sounding and a couple sections that are pretty striking.
"The World Warriors" is a great throwback. The track fits into the game like a glove. "The Select Few" is a piece that I think it would be interesting to hear an extended version of, but then I remember that it's the music for character select and feel like an idiot. "Rock the Asphalt" was good before, it's still good now.
I think I listened to all of the character endings, and based purely on the fact that none of them seemed particularly bad or good I just give them a pass. Character endings will probably be seen very little by me, so during actual gameplay I don't know that I'll give them much attention either way. Some of them spawn lulz, and others spawn pride (though hopefully beating the game will cause that to spawn in the first place.)
Overall, I think that most of the tracks will probably fit the game better then my Ipod. During the game I won't be devoting my mind, body, and soul to listening to the music and how I feel about it. Hopefully the music will bring me just enough focus to succeed at the game without being distracting.

I'm still giving this a listen-through, but I do have to say while I really like the tracks in general, it sounds a bit odd having gotten so used to other remixes and the Blood on the Asphalt album itself.
Just a quick example, Jose's tracks were some of my favorite, in part because the lyrics are perfect for the characters, so hearing the instrumental versions felt lacking.
When I get more time to listen to this, I'll try to offer my thoughts while putting aside my bias towards BotA.

Hey guys,
At Capcom Unity I'm known as T. Lang - and as far as I've known about Street Fighter II, I've ALWAYS loved the music! When I was in elementary school I used to hum all the songs I could think of because even then they were orchestrated so well. And throughout the course of the many SFII albums I've heard, the OCRemixes have done nothing abut absolute justice to the original stuff! Honestly, after listening to the soundtrack over the course of the week I actually can't say that there is a better SFII soundtrack! Not even the 3DO versions music (which was the best before OCRemix came along) can really compare to what's been done to STHD!
I usually give a character by character breakdown of the music I've heard. This time around, I'll just give you the quick version. All of the tracks are infused with a modern touch while still keeping that nostalgic early 90s feel! No SFII soundtrack whether in game music or albums themselves has ever been as good as what you guys have put together! Hopefully we'll see more OCRemix in the picture later on!

I just noticed that Jose's Vega track in-game has an awesome acoustic guitar part in the intro while the downloadable track doesn't. Also, Sixto's Ken stage has a missing electric guitar riff during one of the transitions that's present in the download version.

Being strongly critical of liberal arrangements (I love some of them, but I'm picky about it), I wasn't too hot on Blood on the Asphalt. However, this soundtrack is great!
While I like that this stayed largely true to the original SF2 music, I also like how each stage theme has a distinctive style to tie it to the location and/or the character. The HD themes are well done, and some of them sound pretty cool. And wow, props to Jose for taking on almost all of the ending themes. Dev Kitty must be proud. Speaking of the artists, it was impressive having classic remixers such as AE show up to work on this. You guys know what it takes to make a quality game soundtrack and it makes me happy.
My only complaint, as minor as it may be, is the track length and fading of the released soundtrack. I've listened to hundreds of officially published soundtracks, and based on the standards found therein, this is rather sloppy by comparison. Even most fan-made gamerips can get it right. I've done a couple (http://host.kg13.com/music/Meteos%20-%20Non-Planetary%20Game%20Rip/) myself (http://host.kg13.com/music/Future%20Tactics%20-%20The%20Uprising%20(PS2)%20Game%20Rip/). I don't know if some of the choices were done for a particular reason, but these are the things you should take into consideration next time this a soundtrack is done:
1. Don't even start fading out until the song has played completely through at least once. I haven't heard all of the music played in-game yet, but I can tell that some of these fade out before they're even done.
2. Keep track lengths as consistent as possible. Is there a reason why Combat and Service HD loops that many times? It's practically as long as some of the normal stage themes. By the way, two iterations of the complete song per track then a fade out is the norm, but longer tracks should have less iterations.
3. A personal preference, fade outs should be longer, and the velocity change should be more exponential than linear.
4. At least 3 seconds of silence at the end of each track. Some times it's even longer. Unless you specifically have the tracks blending together, they shouldn't run into each other when listening to them.
I meant that to be educational, so I hope it was. Anyway, this soundtrack is great, and I hope it's the first of many!

I listened to this thing yesterday. Some okay tracks, some really good ones. So everything was fine and dandy...
...until I came to AnSo's rendition of the Credits Theme. Now, don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for you as a musician and as a member of the OCR community, but this remix of yours is absolutely fucking terrible. For me, it has nothing of the mood of the original, which happens to be one of my favourite VGM tunes of all times. Sorry man, but this is horrible.
I'll shut up now and go listen to Rayza's wonderful remix of it.

Congratulations guys, on a soundtrack terrifically done! The sound quality for the entire project is top-notch! Thanks to whoever encoded this stuff in FLAC... despite the earlier discussions of the unpopularity of FLAC, whoever did this certainly knew what they were doing, even embedding album artwork in the files & applying ReplayGain. (Just one small thing... when applying album-mode ReplayGain, the entire album must be scanned together. For some reason, the SSF2THDR album had different album gains among its tracks. After correcting it, I had to stop seeding since the torrent will see the changes as corruption. :-()
As far as the musical quality, the percussion rhythms for almost EVERY track are made of some seriously tasty grooves. Even the tracks I enjoyed from Blood on the Asphalt are notably improved. José's rap tracks are missed, but their absence is understandable considering their potential for standing out distractingly in game. I especially enjoyed how the Cammy theme sounds at an accelerated tempo, as opposed to its original laid-back chill vibe. "Army Girl", "Red Cyclone", and "Clamato Fever" have to be my top favorites, but there are so many other aural goodies as well. Guile's theme has always traditionally been a favorite, and the rendition here certainly does not disappoint... plus it made me ROFL pretty good when I went back to compare it with Blood on the Asphalt's "Mile Long Dong".
Also, "Reaching for Nirudha" and "New Mexican Thunderbird" were definitely appreciated. The melody and groove of Dhalsim's theme were improved so that he now feels like a real Indian fighter. And the group whistle & clap intro to T. Hawk's new theme is a perfect demonstration of the awesome western feel. (Although it mysteriously makes the Tribal American sound like a cowboy. :-P) As for "Flying Heaven", well there's not much to say but that it's electro-gasmic zircon goodness. However, it was surprising to find "Sagat's Moonbike" as the mix Capcom picked, especially considering all the recent Thai Guy (http://oneupstudios.com/ep_05.php) mixes. Not that it's a bad mix -- it's wonderful -- but I just don't see its technological purely-electronic sound fitting so well into a stage that primarily features an ancient statue. Plus, if "Live Thai Guy" could've been remastered to the quality of "Red Cyclone", how awesome would it be to have both The Grammar Club AND The OneUps on the SSF2THDR OST?
My only complaint, as minor as it may be, is the track length and fading of the released soundtrack. Hey Kaleb!
While I do find myself agreeing with most of what you say...
1) I'm pretty sure the songs are at least just starting to loop before they cut out. The stage themes certainly all seem to, and the ending themes just tend to be incredibly short loops.
2) True, the number of repetitions could be more consistent. I didn't really find that it bothered me too much, though.
3) Longer fade-outs I can certainly agree on. They seem a bit abrupt as-is. Also, don't you mean fading with a logistic curve (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logistic_function) (aka cosine-, "S"-, or sigmoid-fade)? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't an exponential fade be even sharper than linear?
4) More silence at the end of each track is indeed helpful for avoiding run-on songs. (Like run-on sentences? Get it? Ha ha?) But then again, one might want no gaps, say, between the stage themes and their Heavy Damage counterparts.
I just noticed that Jose's Vega track in-game has an awesome acoustic guitar part in the intro while the downloadable track doesn't. Also, Sixto's Ken stage has a missing electric guitar riff during one of the transitions that's present in the download version.
Seriously? They put the iconic Vega intro back in? Wish I could hear it. This is just a guess, but since DJP stated the downloadable soundtrack was made from exactly what they sent Capcom, perhaps Capcom did a little editing of their own, or in some cases decided to use earlier versions of some songs. I can't say for sure, though. DJP or Liontamer would probably be able to answer with more certainty.
But enough nitpicking & speculation about what could've been. This is an impressive release for OCR, and I will definitely be listening to many of these tracks for a good while to come. OCR has quite simply set the bar for reworked soundtracks. :-)

I'm just dropping by to say I'm pretty happy with the feedback HD Remix's been getting so far, and I am happy there's so much people enjoying "Army Girl". Since I don't own a PS3 or a XBOX 360, I can't know for sure how well these songs merge with the gameplay, but they are awesome anyways.
Also, AnSo, you mad ReMixing beast, your "World Warriors" is trully amazing, and fits the spirit of the game really really well in my opinion.

I said exponential because I believe that's what one of my audio editing software programs I used in the past called it. In actuality, what I use most of the time is a double linear fade. This drops the volume a lot initially, but then diminishes slowly near the end. I don't perceive it as being sharp since it ends smoothly. A logistic curve is also good though; I guess it depends on preference and type of music.

Ah, you're right. This website (http://transom.org/tools/editing_mixing/200309.stupidfadetricks.html) shows exactly what you were saying. I was envisioning a vertical flip of that curve, thinking that an exponential fade would use the form -(c^x), not c^(-x). Ooops.
Back on topic, I think when I burn this soundtrack to an MP3-CD for my portable/car players, I'm probably going to join the regular & heavy damage tracks, since they're meant to be heard together & shuffling would separate them. Hopefully I can pull that off gracefully. o.o

I honestly have to say, I've never been a big fan of Street Fighter I just never played it (not hating on it), but after playing Marvel vs. Capcom 2, I decided to start liking these sort of old school 2-d Fighters, I'm still contemplating if I want this game, or if I should go ahead and reserve SFIV Special Edition and start paying it off (hey, I'm on a shoe string budget here, sorry and that little figurine that comes with it looks pretty cool). I remember the original remix SF 2 album had become a glitch on my computer where it refused to delete (might have just been my computer), but it didn't bother me, it's gone anyhow.
Anyhow, this is a great soundtrack guys, this site has truly come a long way, even though I came about 4 years late into it. I hope it keeps going forward the way it has. And that the developers of the games, really take notice of the talent that everyone puts into this site.
And also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE IGNORE Play magazine's review of this game, they're idiots. At the very last paragraph, the reviewer (probably Dave Halverson, who's a copmlete moron) starts complaining about how terrible the music was, saying that he expected more out of you guys. Not only that, he suggests that when you get the game, select the original tunes instead. I won't get into how stupid this magazine can be about it's reviews or articles nitpicking faults in games, it's just an excuse to criticize the popular games that come out, not to mention the objectification of big boobed women, hence they still put out girls of gaming (to me, it's just soft core game porn). Sorry, starting to rant here.
I've really considered writing an angry letter to the magazine, but with all the ads that have to support it, they can barely put in letters anymore, not like they'd listen anyhow...

Hahaha! I gotta see that. Anyone got a scan? For the record, I'm not phased by it. Our work was excellente. The major majority of reviews being great, a couple having small complaints, and 2 guys treating the soundtrack like a fart in church? We can handle it. I suppose we just need to work harder to win over the last few people.

Can't please everyone. Sometimes people just like to pop balloons for the heck of it. Besides, we wrote the music how Capcom wanted it, so if he's criticizing the music, he's really criticizing them more than us, whether he realizes that or not.
*EDIT*
Also, seeing as he's the Editor in Chief, I'm not sure writing him a nasty letter would get anywhere. It's like "Hey man, I think you're an idiot. Please publish this letter in your magazine so everyone knows that"
*ANOTHA EDIT*
On second thought, I'd be interested to see his response if someone wrote him a sincere (and professional/courteously worded) letter saying something along the lines of "Hi there, thanks for your review of HD Remix. I noticed you were pretty harsh on the HD Remix music. As a member of OCR, we value all input that we receive regarding our projects, and if you don't mind sharing, could you elaborate on what specifically you did not like about it? What do you think could have been done differently to push it over the top?"
Something along those lines. He's probably be more inclined to publish/respond to that.

Yeah, but he'd be more inclined to start complaining about the lack of arms and feet when you look down in Half Life 2/Orange Box. And how games need to be more artistic/cinematic/realistic.
If I wrote a letter, I wouldn't be a jerk, but it'd be tempting. Sorry, that magazine just irks me now. I used to love it. But with all the hate they put towards the Wii (I understand, some of it is warranted), ridiculous articles on little quirks in games that "MUST" be addressed, has stopped me from even bothering to pick the magazine up anymore.
But I'm getting off topic. Sorry.

I'm late in response, but I owe this thread one.
So, I recently bought and downloaded the game to my X Box 360. I can't tell you how awesome it was to be playing it with the OC Remix soundtrack. It all sounds incredible.
There was a few stages that I thought were going to be different tracks than they are, but I'm not complaining. All of them sound great. I'm really glad they used Vurez's taken on T Hawks stage and zircon's on Fei Long's. Basically, I'm just blown away by this and I've been playing the game tons since I've gotten it. Playing online I found myself always asking people over the mic if they were/are familiar with OC Remix hoping to stumble onto someone who's as active in the community as I am. I bumped into a few that knew about the website but apparently aren't super active.
Historic event for Overclocked Remix. Great to see the remixers and all of us getting some very past due attention.

I realize this could be asked on the HD Remix feedback thread but it's not getting new activity and I don't want to wait that long. I also realize it maybe have already been answered in an interview or otherwise. In my defense I did read the entire HDRemix thread and interviews previously. I don't want to do it all again.
Anyways: Why does it say dJPretzel is only CoDirector of the HDRemix project next to his on site name? Wasn't he essentially the Director of the project? Is it worded that way in respect to other people that helped with the directing?
I don't disagree with it. I'm mostly just curious.
After someone answers I don't mind if they toss this in with the rest of the HDRemix stuff.

I just got to play this for more than the demo. Good work all around. Even the pieces that I didn't care for individually work within the game. Ones I did like already were of course a treat to hear in context. Thanks!

Hi,
This SSF2T HD Remix Official Soundtrack is awesome for the ears :-) ! \o/
I would like to know if the mp3 tracks are in (pure?real?true?) stereo? or in joint stereo? Same question for the flac tracks (I haven't finished downloading them yet, I'll listen later) .
I'm not sure if mp3 tracks are in stereo, there are some sounds that can be heard on both sides, and other sounds more on left than right side, and others sounds more on right than left side. But it seems there are no sounds that can be heard only from one side?

I'd assume that would be more the panning decisions of the mixer rather than joint vs. true stereo. Personally, I rarely pan an instrument 100% to one side.

I liked Blood on the Asphalt better, but the new tracks that were added since then make this a good album. I wonder why T. Hawk, Dee Jay, Dhalsim, Fei Long, Cammy, Ken, and Vega didn't get new tracks...:?:

The original of this song (Sexy Trunks) is my prime time favourite Nintendo track, whatsoever, no question about it.
I have been playing SF2 since the age of 6 (now 24) and i still play with my friends pretty often (well actually mostly by myself since they are sick and tired of still being kicked the shit out of after 18 years, but i play almost every day if i get the chance).
I simply adore the entire Street Fighter II tracklist and still after so many years it is not seldom i catch myself dead drunk on an afterparty trying to put on "SFII Guile Theme" on someones laptop for everyone to hear.
I am no music creator or remixer, and i am sort of conservative, although I have worked as a DJ for some years playing mostly house music.
I have heard a lot of remixes from the Street Fighter franchise and i always tend to turn back to the original soundtracks. When i heard this remix of Balrog Stage Theme this was not the case.
I must say this is an incredible tune.... I dare say it's even better than the original. Or at least i think this is what the original should have sounded more like (even though it may not have been possible due to hardware). It reflects the "Balrog setting" much better with the smoothly operated glizz-and-glam/casino/lose-all-of-your-money-without-even-noticing factor.
When i hear this incredibly familiar melody performed on a sax it reminds me very much of "Dire Straits - Your Latest Trick" which used to be one of my dads favourite songs back when i played SF2 the most. This might be the or a reason i love the tune so much. Either it is or not, i love the tune nevertheless.
Hats off for Neo, insane work!!! You must be and I hope you are remarkably proud to have your very own version of this legendary tune now compiled in as an official soundtrack in the epic and forever lasting franchise of Street Fighter II.
God i wish i were you.
