I present to you Mafialligator's A Very 8-bit Christmas.
There's no better way for our kind of nerd to start the holidays. I loved the first two albums and he just released his third this week. They are quickly becoming a christmas tradition for me.

that there certainly is a very, very 8bit christmas
i usually don't like christmas music all too much but this is definitely fun.
unfortunately i don't think it would work at my family get-togethers...

This guy is incredibly good at arranging these. Mad props to him, and to sephfire for generously providing the linkage!

This is great, I downloaded all three albums, although I was a bit disappointed in his arrangement of Carol of the Bells. Definitely not epic enough. A lot of them are pretty good though.

^His Carol of the Bells arrangement is the Mannheim Steamroller version -- which would you rather have?

Links to the first three seem to have gone down. I'll see if I can find them somewhere.

Oh boy!
A friend showed me an 8-bit themed Christmas album called 8-Bit Jesus made by a different guy last year. It was awesome, so I'm excited to see some more stuff like it.
There's also Rush Coil's 8-bit Christmas album (http://www.8bitchristmas.com/). Worth checking out.

Good stuff. 8-bit holiday remixes have really taken off over the last few years.

Wow, you weren't kidding. The ones I've been posting are pretty straightforward 8-bit covers, but this guy's rearrangements could be an actual game soundtrack. Easily worth $3.

Yeah, after hearing really great arrangements, A Very 8-bit Christmas seems like quite a step back. I'm only halfway through his stuff though, I'll give all four albums a fair shot.
Also, here's 8-bit Jesus (http://www.doctoroctoroc.com/video-game-inspired-music/8-bit-jesus-new-christmas-chip-tune-album/)

Thank you! I was MrNemo here on OC Remix before I was Rush Coil. Please tell others if you like it.

Thanks for posting these!
I downloaded Very 8-bit Christmas (1) years ago and couldn't find links to any of the newer ones when I searched recently (except 8-Bit Jesus which is fantastic btw).
I'm definitely sharing these links with my other game nerd friends. ^^
