I'm going to move this to the G&T forum shortly, just wanted to make it visible here first.

The name says it all. This is something of an expansion of my (now obsolete/abandoned) "remixing on different budgets" guide, with lots of useful information for anyone. Check it out.

so freakin' sweet zircon!
I'm about as rich as a church rat so I've been searching for something like for so long, i had almost given up hope of finding any.
Thank you so much!

good info...
altough the only thing that i'd actually use is Kjaerhus Classic Collection, continuous velocity piano and synth 1...

I've looked at that HDPHX plug before and I've got to ask...does it actually help? I do most of my mixing on cans so this would be a pretty big deal if it does what it claims to do.
Any thoughts?

Much like Sony’s (not free) Acid software,
Just wanted to point out that Sony does offer a free version of Acid called Acid Xpress (though it's nothing to write home about).
Great article, Zirc, I'm looking forward to more.
