Avete, OCR People!

I´m submitting my new remix:

Title: Terra Ulterior
Originally: Final Fantasy 3 - The Forbidden Land Eureka
Genre: Dance
Length: 4:57 mins
Bitrate: 160kbps
My nick: Lucan
Real name: Tobias Homann
eMail: tobi.homann@gmx.de

This is my version of the Eureka-theme of Final Fantasy 3 (not 6!). It is rather slow-paced, but that was intended - used to emphasize the night´s atmosphere. That´s why I added several effects. The basic chords of the Eureka theme are used at the very beginning while the theme itself starts at 1:42.

Thanks for listening and
Valete,
Lucan

there is some good fx and panning work done, but i feel that the theme and the musical aspects of the remix are too bare and thin. it's quite repetitive. a lot of hte instruments are dry.

good fx, now work on the music a little more. needs more layers.

"Several effects" doesn't begin to describe it. Anyway, like Vig said, musical parts are pretty weak. Everything feels like its in the same range, except for the pizzacato strings.

Basically, if I took out the sound effects from this song, the mix would be pretty weak. The arrangement isn't all that interesting, and everything seems to be crammed into the low side of the pyramid of sound. That means this song is a bit gimmicky.

NO, but I encourage you to work on musical aspects and resubmit.

Exactly.

Effects and floody synths, but lacking in the music.

Cool idea, but get better at the music part. You got the sfx part down pat :)

err, interesting cymbal/china/ride work. all the samples are pretty cheesy and familiar sounding, as if this was tracked using samples ripped from other modules.

aargh, what kind of tempo change was that?
this isn't quite ocr quality...
