Game Over's always been like a favorite to me, even though this is only their second song i've heard.. like the other, this one rocks quite soundly, with that harsher, rougher sort of metal i love so good. The whole battle atmosphere is kept well here, and i name this a good'un because of it all! Topman's stage did have a certain kind of guitar sound to it, but this one changes it pretty good... gets that ' Heavy Metal Highway' at the start there, hehe.. but there's a weird delay on the notes that's buggerin' a bit, but it's alright. The solo is awesome too, very fighter's sound.. but why couldn't they have gone with the MM3 boss music? ah well.. Thumbs up, fellers, all the same!

Finally - someone made the rock remix this song deserved. Ever since I heard it first time I thought it was made to be played by a rock band. It could have been heavier, if you ask me, but I like the guy's voice. Very non-iron maiden, which is good. The drums are messed up at the solo part, and generally, the fact that the drums are played on a synth drags this song down quite a bit. Imagine a real drum kit on this and it would be a ton heavier. There's no excuse for having drums as bad as these - drums are probably the easiest instrument to fake, and to make sound real. The drums being played rather off-beat is also really annoying. Anyway, I'm glad this thing was finally released after having a sneak preview of it on their site for so long.

Dream Theater. That's what this reminds me of, but cooler. Much cooler.
Really awesome and well-written. This is an impressive piece of work!
I really don't like how the drums are processed -- the sound is too clean and bright, causing them to sound more synthetic than they might if they sat in the mix better. I'd love to hear how they sounded with just a touch of overdrive or other vintage warmth kind of effect.

I really like this remix, even though I'm usually not a person who enjoys lyrics in my video game music. I have no idea what the singer is saying half the time, so I think that makes up for it. :P
Anyway, another exceptional Mega Man remix. I really like when the music changes to the boss music and then to the "stage selected theme". I'll definitely be adding this one to my playlist alongside other great Mega Man songs.

I feel so proud of Game Over ..everything they do in NintendoMetal is pure bliss and a joyful listening.
I truly hope this epic song inspires other garage rock bands to start their careers in this direction.
As for me this Topman remake with abit of MegaMan 2 Boss Theme reminds me of the excellent efforts of the popular(i think) american band The Minibosses.
Anyway i LOVE this song to death 8O :)!! Go Sweden go !!
Game Over shall never cease to amaze me...Simply awesome. Im showing this to all my friends who say videogame music sucks...
I SHALL PROVE THEM WRONG!!!

Nothing is cooler than Dream Theater, though they do sound quite a bit like them...
Game Over was my favorite, not only because of the type of music they do, but they also seem to pick the best games... I was sort of crushed when I downloaded the Punch-Out!! Mix, then check to see that it was Game Over's only mix on this site...
Two favorite parts:
3:28 - Music for Boss intro before you warp into a stage. (One of the best parts, I was NOT expecting that)
4:24 - The sound for when you die, Game Over! :D

Although I kinda wish they had submitted their Grim Reaper remix from Castlevania instead of this, (You haven't heard a metal remix until you've heard Grim Reaper: Trust me) this is still a wonderful song that deserves your time. If you liked Little Mac's Confession, it can safely be said that you'll like this. The drums aren't the absolute best, and it's a little cheesy at some points, but this great song will earn a permanent spot on your playlist if you're into metal music. If you're not, give it a try anyway: You might like it. :P I love the solo, and this is the only time TopMans theme has ever gotten the justice it deserves, so give it a try!
Here's hoping Game Over decides to submit another track from their next album to OCR! (Rumors say there's some Zelda: Any chance? :P)

That...rocked. There's just no other way of saying it, that totally and utterly rocked. Lyrics, arrangement, vocals, guitars, drums, everything. As one of my friends always says, "That r0x0red my b0x0rs. And I don't even -have- b0x0rs, so that's pretty impressive." I think that's fitting.
Really awesome work. Thank you for this mix!

This is the first Remixed song, heavy on Lyrics, that I actually enjoyed. Great job! :D

This song is awesome. The lyrics are well written, the music is better than lots of professional stuff, and overall the song just blows your socks off. A new personal favorite, and recommended to all.

Whoah. This is a good song. I just might use this in a Rockman.EXE Music Video. Although it pales in comparison to Little Mac's Confession, it's good enough to get burned to a CD. 6.8/10

Game Over, indeed.
Because this remix is killer. It's going to sneak up on you, stab you in the head, and leave you feeling like you've just been at a (insert favorite artist here) concert.
Well done.

Couldn't they at least have used the same drum samples Rob Zombie used in the Quake 2 soundtrack? Those were fake, too, but it was nearly impossible to tell. Anyway, I'm glad this thing was finally released after having a sneak preview of it on their site for so long.
I totally agree that a harder rock version of top man should have been done. This is comming from someone that dont like rock music out side of video games too. Yeah, this a good song. This band is 2 for 2 with me.
Good stuff, but I have to agree with KyleJCrb in that the sooner Game Over submits their Grim Reaper remix from CV, the better.

Even though i couldn't really understand a lot of the lyrics, the quality of the vocals and the music itself were awesome. Megaman rocks my world!
At first I didn't like the mix because the rhythm of the lyrics was weird, but I grew to love it alot. The singer is obviously very talented.
This song is the best Megaman song with lyrics, and Top Man's song never sounded better. The only bad thing is the drums in the solo part sound synthesized, but it is covered up nicely by the guitars.

Wow! Very dark, but well written lyrics.
The guitar work is great! If a Mega Man movie is ever made, this song had better make the soundtrack album or I ain't buyin'.

As the subject of this message states, is exactly how I feel for this song. One of the things that make this remix more unique besides being the first Top Man remix that I know about and there being lyrics in the song, around 3:30 they seem to work in the boss theme and stage selection from Megaman 2.
Incedently I had also heard GO's "Little Mac's Confession. In my eyes both songs have very similar quiality.

It seems like some of you (including the judges) have difficulties understanding the lyrics. Very few seem to know the real story behind Mega Man 3. If you did, maybe you would understand more.
Mega Man 3 is about robots in a mine making a revolt, just like in Émile Zola's "Germinal". The lyrics describe this revolt. They also try to be humoristic in the way they describe the wounds that only robots can get (for example "oil is staining on their hands" instead of blood). The chorus is, of course, about Top Man himself. It all ends with everybody killing each other.

This is some great rock interpretation, IMHO on par with Game Over's previous great work (I have to buy their CD once it comes out). Definitely staying on my playlist.
Rumors say there's some Zelda: Any chance?

I kept thinking as I was listening to this that it would be sooo awesome...without the vocals. The vocals are like the "cow bell" from the Christopher Walken sketch, very distracting. They work for maybe 5 - 10 seconds during the song but otherwise, I think they weaken the piece. This isn't to say that it couldn't work with vocals, it's just that the ones provided here really don't work. Vocally it needs someone like Robert Plant to work...
But everything else about this mix rocks.

Definitely a cool rendition of TopMan's theme. Great segue from that into the battle theme... Very nice. Vocals are cool, if not a tad hard to understand at times.

Check the MM3 manual - it says right there in the intro "Get to those mining worlds on the double MegaMan, and stop whoever's in charge!" or something similar. Hence, lyrics are justified.
MWUHA.
Awesome song by the way. This gets the very special last place on any CD I burn that doesn't include A World Awaits Chrono (otherwise it goes 2nd last)

I'm at a loss. I actually don't know what to say. Um.....Awesome!! Um..This rocks!! Um..I want more. Go GameOver. After hearing that this band was from Sweden, I expected to hear lryics in Swedish. When I heard Timo (the lead singer) singing in english, I knew immediately that this would become one of my top 5 songs. I'm feeling much like djpretzel must've when he had to come up with an opening review for this track. If you haven't already, head over to www.nintendometal.com and buy their demo disc. This stuff is amazing

They´re SWEDES!?8O
At first I felt uncomfortable since this remix had lyrics, I´m more of a dude that just wants the music with no voices that steals your attention. But now that I´ve listened to it quite a while, the lyrics grows on you and becomes part of the music, and that´s the point where i truly realizes how cool this remix really is. It´s AWESOME.
A great rockremix in the name of Topman, that´s some pretty neat stuff. The guitars actually fitted very well to the Topmelody, it plays with maximum energy and leaves noone unsatisfied. Well, maybe someone, but those people maybe just don´t likes thrashing guitar remixes.
Tack för remixen Game Over, är fortfarande ganska förvånad att det finns så många svenskar på OC. Ni gör oss stolta. Bra gjort!!!
They´re SWEDES!?8O
Didn't see that coming....
I don't really care for the intro; it plays tricks with my headphones and makes me feel like going deaf in my left ear or something.
Still this is fairly standard power metal, so if you like that sort of thing, check this mix out.

no bad but use a real drummer. Or at least better drum sounds. The drum beats are put together well but the sound quality sucks.

Game Over hemorrhage pure awesomeness. That's all there is to it. The amount of love for metal and for Mega Man 3 that they show off here would almost be sickening, if it weren't so goddamn fantastic.
Flawless arrangement of various Mega Man themes, classic metal vocals, solos to write home about... this mix has it all. Game Over may always be the artist to beat in the continuous quest for that perfect professional sound.
I am a HUGE fan of this.

Very cool indeed but i love the vocal sample near the end. I love it.
I love the kick gallop and the vocals. Production was solid, and the transition to the second theme was pretty well done. Very rocking stuff, I love this track. Cute ending as well. ^______^

I guess turning Top Man's theme into a metal song was an obvious choice, but this a great version of it.
The only thing I don't really like is that the drums kind of mess up the sound, especially during the chorus. Are they using a drum machine of some sort? Because some passages feel overly-mechanical and awkward at times. But everything else is top-notch.
