Hello! Just curious: I see new mixes posted but there is no *YES* thread in the judges panel since a couple of months, more or less.

Have all mixes been direct posts since then?

I'm asking because I really enjoy reading the *YES* ones and I thought they were available as soon the mix in question gets posted.

Am I wrong?

Best regards,

Jorge

Three things:

1) This goes here (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=36). Mods...

2) YES Decisions aren't posted (publically) until the remix is. It says so here (http://www.ocremix.org/info/Judges_Panel). Newbs..

3) Speaking of months, there hasn't been a Currently in the Judging Process update in one month. Judges...

http://www.ocremix.org/info/Judges_Panel#Why_are_there_so_many_rejections_in_a _row.3F

That's why there are so many NOs in a row. As for YESs by the panel, those are definitely available once a mix is posted. Those threads are always available on the mix's writeup page.

I need to do some judging.

All but two (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=4170) of (http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=17388) the ten (http://www.ocremix.org/) recently posted remixes were direct posts.
If a posted song was evaluated by the judges, a link to the decision thread will be on the right hand side of the song page, just above the Amazon ad.

so why hasn't the 'currently' page been updated recently? can't anyone do that? you should see who updates more often. it could be a contest. a contest that actually means something to the faithful here at ocr!

Oh, please.

You people make me sick.

We all know that the judges don't exist. They're clearly a clever ruse to make us all believe that this site ISN'T run by a complete and total tyrannical dictator.

We ALL KNOW that every judge post is randomly generated, and no mix is ever actually listened to by anyone before it's posted.

So go ahead, so-called "judges". Your YES and your NO means absolutely nothing to me, for THEY ARE BASED ON A FALSE PREMISE THAT THERE IS ACTUALLY ANY SORT OF DEMOCRACY HERE.

The judges are fake. They're photoshopped. The shadows are all wrong.

you've already got a 'the o*' model on the shtyjdgbot panel. get creative! you don't have anyone with their real name on there. vote for xjesse!

BGC tried to organize assigning the duty in a rotation, but when you have judges that aren't even aware we're TRYING to organize something like this, it doesn't work. Besides which, we're already plenty behind on the queue and I'd personally rather judges spend their efforts there.

I'll try to update the thread tonight or tomorrow.

hey judges, i think avaris and i pm'd you about this three or four times a few months ago, but we pulled our mixes off of super dodge ball because it's been so long since anything happened. so you can move them to the normal post queue.

thanks. and, larry, that interview thing that i was musicing for...it's STILL done.

What I can't work out is why there are TBP mixes on the queue from 2007. Not that that's necessarily a judges thing, but still!

Sup.

I was wondering about that as well. It may sound dumb but I think it would kinda work: If you take the new releases off the front page and just provide a link to a new page with nothing but new releases. That way people can explore all the new releases on one page and you could add more songs that way. I don't think the focus would drift off since peoples interest is directed to the new page full of all of these new remixes.

Just a thought...

Bias.

Nah, I think in all these cases we're waiting for fixes from the remixer. When we vote something YES (conditional), it goes into the TBP list.

I suggest marking those remixes so ppl who have been somewhat incommunicado (or whom the Js have forgotten to contact) can see why their remix hasn't been posted after a year in the queue.

e.g.

2007-XX-XX FreeSpace 2 'Dang Those Dragons' *awaiting response from remixer*

Well honestly, it's not really anyone's business why something's not posted yet. I'm just planning to separate out the conditional YESs from the ones that are ready to go.

All the judge are DJP. Now you know why it take so much time for your mix to pass the panel.

We figured adding dates to the queue was good for giving us some more accountibility. I believe that Marathon/Halo mix actually isn't that old, but was subbed to us in July, then revoked, then a new version was sent later.
